Date: August 24, 2009 05:15AM Hi everyone,
is that safe to add radish tops, carrot tops to your smoothies ? Do they have some goodness ? Otherwise tops are wasted especially if they grown organically in my garden. Regards, Peter Re: Smoothies

Date: August 24, 2009 11:21AM ABSOLUTELY !!! Beet greens are also excellent in smoothies or juicing. Blend away!!! =) ***************************** "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... i think you may want to go easier on the radish and carrot tops than you might with other things..the radish tops are quite bitter..The carrot tops are a bit difficult to blend when you use lots of them. alice Re: Smoothies

Date: August 25, 2009 05:43AM I find the "leaf test" to be a very effective way to select greens. Just take a leaf out of the bunch you are looking at and pop in in your mouth and chew it up. Buy the ones that taste good to you. I like spinach and romaine the best. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
