Nothing wrong with nutritional yeast, pending that you dont have an allergy to yeast.

Rich in b vitamins, amino acids and mineralssmiling smiley tasty also.

I guess that means that the natural raw food supplements B 12 and vitamin D that vitamin Code do are also neuro toxins as they are made with the same yeast.

Here I was thinking that natural supplement would be better than a synthetic one.It seems there is no answer at all.

Good article and Russel Blaylock is one of the leading toxin experts

uhm I dont know how you get that they're neurotoxins if they're made with the same yeast. they are extracted from the yeasts anyway riight? So there's no yeast that goes into the formula itself (i suppose)

I think the B12 in nutritional yeast is added as a supplement, rather than the yeast making the B12. B12 comes from bacteria, not yeast.

In any case, the glutamates are the toxic element, and they also what make the nutritional yeast make things taste better.

Prana, I do think, though, that if glutamic acid is naturally occurring, it's different than isolating it. It reminds me of the Bragg's debate. A raw food "expert" was saying that there's MSG in Bragg's but failing to mention that it's just part of the food, like seaweed. That "umami" savory flavor that nutritional yeast imparts seems to be very desirable in the raw food and vegan communities, probably due to the fact that they eschew cheese and it's a similar flavor.

I have to agree MSG in say chinese food used to bring about straight allergic symptoms for me, such as anxiety, puffy face, just like if i ate gluten etc.

Where as i can eat as much nutritional yeast, seaweed without bad effect.
