The 15 acres you're keeping seems like a lot of work, even though you didn't mention the trees you'd be maintaining. I guess more of the same?

Pity i know nothing about getting residence status in the US or i might have been interested.

Man oh man oh man would I love to be able to shell out that money and buy your part of the farm! Sounds like paradise. I have never been to HI, but obviously it has to be one of the best places to live raw.

LOL, Jgunn, that would be awesome, but I think it would be rather difficult deciding who got what acreage unless it was set up instead like a commune... that could be cool

To WY (hi!): You are right. Both properties have lots of trees. We will still have maintenance, but we're hoping we can handle the remaining 15 a little easier than the entire 27.

I should clarify to anyone who might be interested that some trees are more mature on one property, and some trees are more mature on the other. For example, the mangosteins (20+ trees) are not yet producing on the property for sale, but they're producing on the property we're keeping. On the other hand, the bananas are more mature/productive on the property we're selling.

Debbietook, good idea to advertise on 30bananas. Thanks! I hadn't thought of it. We will definitely do that. Right now, before we go any further with advertising, we should probably finish building another space to live, get the lines surveyed, etc.

The real estate dealer came here today and said we could probably get more moolah if we did this, this, this and whatever.

That's down the road though, and until then, the price here will stand.

We're hoping someone will come who appreciates the trees. A vegan family would be wonderful.

of course curator .. but would suncloud be able to put up with 12 of us nuts

to put this in perspective .. macademia nuts have been 31$ a kg. up here for the last 2 years in canada .. thats only a 1000kg of nuts
