Date: January 31, 2011 01:45PM Hey there So, I am one month in and have been eating cooked foods in the evening. I would like to work this month on cleaning up my evening meal which usually consists of pasta or rice and steamed or stirfried veggies, some beans or tofu, and a salad. Date: February 02, 2011 03:03AM Last night I was very hungry for the kind of food I used to eat. This is what I made to eat instead to fight the cravings:
*Half a head of romaine, torn up like tiny confetti *Red pepper and red onion diced small In the chopper: *4 raw black olives *raw pistachios *raw pecans *raw SF seeds *raw flax crackers into the bowl they go. Then I added *brewer's yeast *hemp seed *GoRaw pizza crackers crushed up. Lots of them. I needed substance and crunch. I used a third of a bag. So now I have this dry salad which is about 60% vegetables. On that I put: *Almost an entire container of salsa that I mixed some garam masala into *2 Avocados It looked like a stew or something. It was loaded with flavor, fats, and substantive crunchiness. I of course made way more than I could possibly eat, so I saved it and ate it again the next day. I dont need to power-eat like that very often. But I think it's important when youre transitioning to really eat whatever you need to eat whenever you need to eat it.
