Well, you can juice a lot of them. I just finished a nice beet juice. smiling smiley

Personally, I think the more fruits and veggies, the better, so tough root vegetables I'll eat lightly cooked rather than to not eat them at all. Fruits I consume almost without exception raw, though.

This is why i lightly cook them as Tamukha has suggested above, fruit obviously is almost always eaten raw for me.

the undigested cellulose fiber is still helpfull for sweeping out the intestinal track .

i feel nature designed it this way intentially , if we digested everything and assimalated everything then one would think we wouldnt require an anus to expel things .. we do have an anus so its there to expel waste , that waste requires matter to pick it up and carry it along smiling smiley

Jgunn,
A very good point indeed. There is something really weird, which I never knew until I took anatomy. The G.I tract is technically 'outside' of the human body, even though it goes right through the center. I thought that an odd point of view in a way, but it makes sense in that in a healthy person the mouth to anus is continuous. Its sort of like having a long curvy doughnut hole in the middle.

That cellulose is like a broom... just think of cleaning your house. You don't need to eat the broom for it to work. It just escorts everything you don't need out of the way. smiling smiley

The best way I ever heard it described was that the human digestion is like a river flowing. That was Ancient Evenings by Norman Mailer.

I found a you tube video recipe. Doesn't get any easier than that to learn how to make them.
