Date: June 04, 2012 09:56PM As above! Or worst case scenario, they would have some salad as a side dish (tiny portion), so you can order 3-4 of them and be set. Re: dinning out ideas

Date: June 05, 2012 03:11PM There is a little pizza shop not 5 minutes from me that has a side salad with everything on it you could want and a decent amount, for 1.99.
Its so funny because I go there twice a week, and sit there eating a salad in a place where everyone else, and I mean everyone, has their face buried in pizza, cheese burgers, and stromboli.I have NEVER seen anyone with the salad there. Vinny Re: dinning out ideas

Date: June 05, 2012 05:34PM Hi eaglefly,
While most customers are there to get the cheese & wheat pleasure (2 addictive foods), you are there to eat and maybe socialize. In a way, you have broken the spell. People go shopping, dining, etc, to get pleasure because they don't know. eaglefly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There is a little pizza shop not 5 minutes from me > that has a side salad with everything on it you > could want and a decent amount, for 1.99. > Its so funny because I go there twice a week, and > sit there eating a salad in a place where everyone > else, and I mean everyone, has their face buried in > pizza, cheese burgers, and stromboli.I have NEVER > seen anyone with the salad there. > Vinny Re: dinning out ideas

Date: June 15, 2012 08:12PM I look over the menu and spot any possible raw item, make a list and hand it to server to make a nice "plater" (not plate) those items over some greens Re: dinning out ideas

Date: June 15, 2012 08:48PM We went to an ordinary (but one of the new) British restaurant the other week, and I ordered a "Brown Salad" which was the only main salad which was vegetarian.
I wasn't expecting much, and was very surprised that the only cooked veg in the salad were french beans! And even they were steamed, as the waiter said when I asked out of curiosity. The second and last cooked thing was quinoa sprinkled on top. But the rest were veggies and they were raw! And thats including some "real" veggies - not just lettuce and cherry tomatoes, but broccoli, turnip, and even butternut squash! Considering it's been only recently that I braved raw butternut myself, I was very very impressed >Banana ice-cream rocks!< Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/15/2012 08:49PM by chat. deep fried burrito quesadilla chile relleno aren't they all raw? just kidding i don't know its the same anywhere.... mexican, chinese, italian, whatevs.. you only go to those establishments if you are hanging out with a friend or its some social event otherwise, you just expect the usual salad its been like that the whole time if you want to expect anything different you open up your own restaurant otherwise you make and eat your own raw vegan stuff at home or eat before you go there and just go to those establishments to hang out , socialize or have a change of scene but to expect anything else is kind of foolish yeah, i've asked for salad in a million different ways its usually sub standard but then again, i'm never surprised and i went for the social aspect so that's it don't expect too much or anything at all even except for scraps made into salad and its all good if what u came for is simply the company if you were expecting anything MORE well... not sure what to tell ya Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
