Amino acids or Proteins?

Ok, we got now buckwheat greens, sunflower greens and wild nettle.

Does these fellas got free amino acids in them? Or do they contain complex proteins also?

One person says that plants doesn't contain proteins, they contain AMINO ACIDS in their free form, directly for assimilation.

What have you heard?

Plants contain plant proteins.

Humans can take plant protein, break them down into amino acids, and then use the amino acids to create human protein.

So there doesn't contain ANY free amino acids in baby greens?

When people talk about sprouts, they say: "..it contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids and proteins.. "

What do you think about that?

Both can be present. But usually there is much more protein present compared to free amino acids.

Proteins are long repeating chains of amino acids.

(interesting part about denaturing: this means "raw" protein powders such as hemp and rice are not really raw but most people already knew that)

Single amino: free amino acid

short chain: peptide

longer chain: polypeptide

longest chain: protein

I have not seen an analysis for wheat grass but there is one for certain types of algae here in table 2 comparing longer chains with free amino acid content:

Yes, thank you!

I hope there is some research on sprouts/baby greens some day. Because algea is fully grown, and sunflower greens isn't, and maybie contains ALOT of free amino acids.

What do you think?
