Fruit.....good or bad?

Date: July 24, 2013 11:14PM I went raw for a couple years and ate a lot of fruit on a daily basis. I lost weight and kept it off for about a year and a half into it and then ended up back to eating meat but stayed away from processed foods in general. I ended up with blood sugar issues and was wondering if too much fruit will do that?
I get so confused bc there's so many arguments as to whether or not fruit really effects blood sugar bc it's processed differently than something like bread bc fruit is natural. All that to say, I'm contemplating going completely raw again but I am concerned I'll gain weight from fruit. Anyone have any thOughts or suggestions? Re: Fruit.....good or bad?

Date: July 25, 2013 07:26PM Natural fruit is natural, but commercial fruit isn't natural. It's bred for it's sugar content and without much fibre which is an integral part of the fruit in nature. Also, if you add the fertilisers from the petrochemical industry as well as being picked unripe there is no guarantee that the fruit is natural, unless it's grown in good soil, and even then it might lack the necessary fibre. The fact some people can tolerate a lot of fruit isn't of help to people who can't tolerate the excessive sugar of too much fruit. That's the issue for a lot of people who fail on high fruit diets by relying on fruit as their main source of calories. Re: Fruit.....good or bad?
