Re: People who juice v's people who don't juice - feedback from both groups would be good.

I am still uncomfortable with making it a regular part of my diet. But I do it sometimes.

A lot of the good stuff is in the fibers which are removed.

I agree it's a good way to get more greens in your diet.

But I don't like throwing away the pulp. (actually in my house nothing much is thrown away--it goes into the dogs' food).

Also I think it's ok if you are already getting enough fiber. Probably not so ok if you are not getting enough fiber.

I think there are pros and cons with just about everything.

I think the value of the pulp is exaggerated.
I guess its best value iS that it helps slow down nutrients absorption
But I keep the juice in my mouth long enough to get it digested properly

For people who juice
1). how often do you juice, what types of foods, and how many oz/ml do you usually juice?

various. mostly greens with a sweet fruit like apples and herbs like parsley and mint, with lemon thrown in.

i make approx 64 oz. at a time

it could be once a day, once a week, once a month. depends on how many bananas i have smiling smiley

2). are you sometimes discouraged about juicing because of the clean-up involved?
yes, but then I buy them already made at a local raw juice shop

3). do you get benefits from juicing that you can feel?

yes
