His degree, at least, is for real. Notes: Summary: Determining brain participation in mood, employing a naturalistic research paradigm and taxonomy of behaviors was developed that defined pleasure and aversive moods, and lateralized body movement. Participants expressing robust states of pleasure and aversion were videotaped from live TV appearances. Thirty raters viewed 20 vignettes, 10 pleasurable and 10 aversive, to determine the congruence of the subjects mood and the lateralization of body movement. Raters rated selected behaviors on an instrument the researcher developed. Specifically, body movement, speech and voice patterns were identified to determine that subjects were actually living the expressed mood. Summary: Mood behaviors were found to be statistically significant to hemisphere participation when lateral body movement is correlated as a single variable. Pleasure was found to be statistically significantly right sided and aversion left sided. This research shows that pleasure is more lateralized to the left hemisphere and aversion the right hemisphere. (However, pleasure vignettes invited more movements on either side of the body.) By recognizing the internal neural syntax of mood professionals can more readily establish rapport and pace clients toward achieving maximal playfulness and enriched leisure experience. Here is a new post made by KFCA on another clement thread which I thought I'd add here ... "Several years ago I did some research on the use of the title of PhD in the US, and found that surprisingly, there is no criminal charges that can be attached to its use in any state. Of course if one applied for a job claiming having an accredited PhD, it would be grounds for firing, but nobody would go to jail. I found that the State of New Jersey at one point was considering making it a criminal offense to claim a PhD within their state without actually having one from an accredited educational source, but apparently nothing came of it. So PhD "customers" beware." Re: "Dr." Brian Clement's Degrees and Alma Mater
