How are the prices at Farmer's market and pick your own compared to conventional grocery stores and places like wholefood market? Hopefully it is a lot cheaper. Date: April 28, 2007 04:55PM i find them cheaper ..usually there are the odd ones that overcharge a bit but for the most part i find them cheaper then the safeway/overwaitea/superstore around here .. although the conventional stores have deals to watch for but its mostly not organic ..the organic stuff doesnt seem to go on sale much here unless its goin bad
as long as you know your local prices and sale prices ... sometimes i take the local grocery flyers with me an compare or make a list of whats on and take that with me Re: american and canadian farm market links

Thanks so much for the link. I moved here about 2 months ago so I was at loss where to find veggies outside the traditional health food stores, superstores, and a couple of Asian markets which didn't have much selection like they did in Phoenix. I found a couple of places via the link, while not in my town, are not too far a drive. Therese Re: american and canadian farm market links

With the almond problem imminent, I was wondering if some of us should coordinate an order (or find a way of getting them) from one of the truly raw organic suppliers. I've just started buying Everland brand raw, organic almond butter - local company- and now I wonder how they will get raw almonds - they probably won't be able to, so maybe I should stock up now. I don't find them much cheaper, though I expected to initially. But how else do I express my gratitude for the work they're doing? I'm happy to pay them instead of some NYSE listed company and I hope they feel it's worth continuing. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
