check out [www.orthorexia.com]
A good description of orthorexia and important distinction between it and anorexia, info on the book (which was a great read at a time when i was at the peak of my severe orthorexia), and link to a wake-up personal story of someone who died due to orthorexia-related illness.

Love,
Uma

Hi uma,

Thanks for your post.

I think I get it. Anorexia is starving yourself because you want to be thin. Orthorexia is starving yourself because you want to be clean. Is this right? If so, yes, I can see that happening. It's definitely something to think about.

Whatever the case, I'm glad you've recovered.

You got it. It wasn't a conscious starving myself thing, like calorie counting or something. I was eating lots, but I was so controlling and judging that physically my digestion and assimilation were going down the drain.
Love,
Uma
