I've found it best to make a smoothie either Green or Fruit, but not both. The only fruit I use in my Green Smoothies are Sweet Pepper and Tomato.....WY

My lil sis can only stand to drink smoothies that have fruit juice added, but boy, when she drinks 'em it surely takes away her aches and pains!

I make my green smoothies with fruits, leafy greens like spinach, celery sometimes, frozen berries, mango, etc. It all tastes good to me! I've had no problem now digesting any of them.

Love,
Prism

WY - Are you juicing the celery first? How long do you soak the corn? Are the cashews soaked to or just throw them in dry?

Thanks!

I'm pretty new to raw and don't like green smooothies either. This morning I am drinking my usual fruit smoothie with a little bit of kale added.
Ingredients:

bag of frozen cherries(please no flack for the frozen fruits, it makes it easy for me!)
bag of mangoes
bag of peaches
about 10 strawberries
3 bananas
2 leaves of kale

You really can't taste the kale when you do it this way. I can't stand kale and this is the only way I can choke it down. I learned the hard way that a kale smoothie turns into jelly if you don't add enough water, so make sure you are adding a bit of extra water to something like this.
I agree with what everyone else here said about slowly adding greens into these smoothies. Unless you are used to eating a ton of veggies it will taste terrible to you. My husband and I made a couple green smoothies when we first started raw and I couldn't drink more than a couple sips. He eats veggies/sour/bitter foods all the time and loves them. You'll get there.

i use the GREEN VIBRANCE drink with fresh apple juice, seems to mask the "seaweedy" taste rather well. maybe if you heated it and made believe it was miso...? some tofu? a scallion and sesame oil?

If you hate green smoothies read Victoria Boutenko's book 'Green For Life' and you will convince yourself to like them! She is very convincing and has done a lot of research (on herself and her family as well). She has a lot of different recipes in the book too-including a few green smoothie recipes for people who don't like green smoothies...

Here is a green smoothie that I have every morning and I love it. It is creamy and sweet.

I put in a small amount of raw almond milk with a handful of spinach. Then mix it up so it is creamy. Then I put in more almond milk. It is just me so one cup to one and a half cup is usually fine for me. Then I put in a banana or two it depends how much I want. Then I put in any frozen fruit I have. Strawberrry, mango or honeydew are all so good. Mix it all up together until creamy and down it goes. It is so good. I look foward to it every morning. It is a good way to get greens in daily.

I know you have posted this before WY, but when you add oats, you soak them first? And the same with the pumpkin seeds? Can you give me an amount - like 1/2 c oats approx? Same with the seeds? 1/4 c? 1/8cup? Just trying to get a sense for the smoothie, I have only used veggies or fruit.
