Date: July 27, 2008 04:00PM Ok this is all you need
Balsamic Vinegar (preferably aged- this stuff is like wine) Strawberries Lettuce (any kind) or baby spinach 2-3 walnuts or other nut, just crushed or crumbled All you do is soak the strawberries in the B.V. for however long you want ( i only did like 4 minutes and it smells..fantastic and still tastes great) and then plop em on top of the lettuce (which you would tear up if first) or baby spinach and then crumble a tteeeny bit of nuts on the top (it adds a little something)--you can also drizzle the remains of the balsamic vinegar on top. I was watching food network and this chef was making this salad, only they put motzerella (i dont know how to spell it) on it, but you don't need it! I just added a pinch of crumbled nuts and it really adds on. Seriously, strawberries and balsamic vinegar are amaaazing together Let me know what you think. Re: VERY simple wonderful tasting salad!

Date: August 01, 2008 01:45PM I will try that if I can find a balsalmic vinegar without sulphates in it.
Last night I had a tasty salad made with a base of ripe papaya chunks, orange peppers, raw corn, cherry tomatoes and a little avocado, garlic and Namu Shoyu and lots of lemon juice. It was a bit of everthing I had left and it was pertty good. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/01/2008 01:46PM by Dulset. Re: VERY simple wonderful tasting salad!

Date: August 02, 2008 03:09PM That sounds very delicious. corn and cherry tomatoes go very well together. What is the best raw corn to get, i've heard it's only good raw right when you take it off the stalk? Re: VERY simple wonderful tasting salad!
