my health food store has already told me that in the next 12 months to start watching the prices of things nearly double as labelling laws change regarding codex and some things will not be available at all as smaller companies just wont be able to afford the new processes .. pushing out the little guy once again ...

im getting my hands on as many open polinated strains of fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers as i can find and continue to grow my own home grown

Ooooh, that sounds pretty bad, Jodi! And I just read this on my Facebook wall from Jim Carey, the Chi Diet guy:

"Just received via email from the USDA - Upcoming Hearings on "The Handling of Leafy Greens" - this is where irradiation, etc., comes from; hearings like these."

Time to get serious, guys. We can go two ways: either opt out of the system entirely and try to live on our own (how many of us can do that?) or organize and try to get the government to do what WE want. This is our food we're talking about.

No more magical thinking.
