I'd rather eat something steamed than dehydrated. Higher water content is key. Dehydrated stuff sits like a brick in my. However, hydrating raw veggies are best, but some find when first starting raw they digest them better cooked. Like Mason said, transition is key to avoiding bloat and fatigue caused by too intense detox!

Cacao is like a drug for me. It keeps me up for days and sends my heart racing. And I really wanted it to be good for me, too, so I kept trying it but it has a similar effect to sugar on me. It sends me for a high followed by extreme fatigue and restlessness. I still don't want to belive it, but being raw for so long I think my cells are just extremely sensitive. Perhaps I am just very

I have found that instead of salad raw veggies and a nut/seed dip or guacamole work well for me. I prefer this to salads as I can taste the veggies better without salad dressing or isolated oils There is an amazing Ginger Almond dressing in Natalia's book that I love and also a carrot ginger dressing that I dip raw veggies in (romaine, broccoli, peppers, cukes, cauliflower, celery).

Try sprouts. The sproutman lives in Mass. and eats mostly sprouts (green, bean and sprouted grain bread) grown in his kitchen garden. www.sproutman.com He talks about it here.

I would say fresh juice! Combos with greens high in calcium and celery. No fiber digestion involved but lots of vitamins and minerals. Also blended soups made with some cooked butternut squash or sweet potato. Young coconut smoothies- blend water and meat. Avocado is a very easily digestable fat. Avocado/banana mashed or spinach avocado soups in blender Peanut butter is one of the ha

Encourage them to eat more fruits and vegetables and maybe prepare tasty dips and salads for them. Instead of focusing on the negative things they are eating, suggest positive things that they could substitute or even add.

This is exactly why I didn't go to the fest this year. Last year I remember searching for a banana in the hotel gift shop because there was no fresh fruit even to buy at the Raw Festival! I paid all that money to get in only to spend more buying my own food because I couldn't find anything fresh to eat there!

So I guess it should be ok to do a 10 day Master Cleanse even though I am nursing a 1 month old?

Do you think it is ok to do the MC while breastfeeding? My daughter is 1 month old and I seem to have more than enough milk all the time now so I already have a good supply established. I miss being able to do fasts and cleanses since I've been pregnant...seems like it's been so long and I am really needing a cleanse since being given all sorts of drugs in the hospital for the birth.

Hi brenna! I am in my last trimester now (due mid-July!) and all I wanted was really bland stuff during my first trimester because I felt so nauseous! And I usually love spicy food. I lived mostly on fruit and green juice because it was all I could stomach (literally!). I only threw up twice, but felt nauseous All the Time during the first trimester. I highly recommend juicing alot th

You still could but it is less necessary. It's sad what happened to store almonds. They're not allowed to be sold raw anymore, you can soak them for ages and they don't swell up since they're not alive. Congrats! I wish I had an almond tree. Where do you live?

Weird. I wonder if the neckband can "say" things thru you that you you don't really want it to voice or you have the same full-conscious control over it as you do your own voice. Makes me think of this episode of South Park I just watched today (crude humor, language). I don't enjoy every episode but that one was pretty amusing. - NewZealand
