Is it normal to experience a fever out of the blue while on the diet? I havent been sick in a year and suddenly I have a sore throat, am sneezing, and exhausted! Is it the detox or something else? Did anyone else experience it and when will it pass?

It is so expensive where I live to buy enough almonds to make almond milk at home, but when I found some at a health food store, it was only 2 bucks for about a quart. Is store-bought almond milk ok?

I grew up with delicious cooked foods all the time because my mom is a professional chef... and still is. Now, I've traded that lifestyle for better health and yet it is hard to sit at the table with my salad and fresh fruits while my family devours penne al fresco, pie, or chocolate bread pudding. Regardless, I am proud of my choice and feel so strong whenever I resist.

If you work out as intensely as you say you do, and yet dont eat that many calories, you could be doing yourself more harm than good. Your body starts to eat away at itself for energy- and this can make you very sick, so please take care to eat a sufficient amount of calories. Also, wash your produce! If you are sick on this diet, it is probably because you are catching a bug from the food yo

I couldnt agree more. shaving takes up so much time and effort, and because Im blonde you dont notice the hair anyways until you feel it. I dont know about stopping shaving my armpits, but I do experience discomfort sometimes Good for you! I think this is a huge part about truely thriving with a lifestyle like this- you have to give up a lot of what the idea of commercial beauty is, and wi

hey im kinda in the same boat... im a student and have little to NO time to prepare anything! Id love to serve as a support party for you if you need motivation. Anyway, I dont know if you soak nuts or grains, but I have found it so easy and useful! All you do is toss them in a jar of water for a few hours, and you have an easy snack or base for any simple recipe. I personally like soaked oats

My first day of becoming a raw foodie, I experimented with a lot of different cooking ideas. The one I found most rewarding was a simple wrap i made with a few common house-hold food items, its wonderful for all you olive-oil enthusiasts! Ingredients: 1/2 cup raw pine nuts 2 teaspoons olive oil 1 carrot- make sure not to peel off the skin, that is where most of the beta carotene content is

I would love to start a raw support group! I eat 100 percent raw and sometimes its difficult to keep going without support. We live in a world where cooked food is the norm, and its so hard to find someone who agrees with your philosophy. Get back to me if you can i would love it.

I also am diving into a raw diet from a life comprised of heavy meals, and its hard to keep going when you are surrounded by cooked food everywhere you turn! So far, I have maintained my strictly-raw diet, but it was so interesting to read about your 'cheesy' experience with cooked food. If you ever need a buddy to help motivate you through the process, look no further- im in dire need of som
