Yeah I was being sarcastic, it truly never dawned on me that someone might think you have to be rail thin to be healthy. But, now that you said I,t you are probably correct that some people see health that way. For me, some signs of health would be clear eyes, perhaps some sort of natural color or shine to the face. Vibrancy in the persons demeanor. I know it when I see it, but Can't really desc

Really, everyone is not petite/small boned? I thought they were. LOL The rest of the Boutenkos looked healthy and vibrant to me. She did not. Perhaps there was some disease she was battling.

I'm not trying to be mean at all. But to me, Victoria Boutenko never looked like a good example of looking good and healthy on raw food. In my mind, I even wondered if she truly ate what she said she did, when she did all her raw books. She was always bloated, maybe she had a disease that I'm not aware of and that was the best it was gonna get, I dunno. Of course, the kids looked good and her

Day 25. Broke my juice fast this evening with a small orange. Felt good to chew something. Brought a banana and small salad for lunch. This is in addition to my orange juice. I really feel I have a good start for a largely raw foods diet. Right now I am craving greens, I am going slow and easing back into eating.

There's all kinds of stuff in the Vitamineral Green @ Healthforce.com. I'm surprised you have never heard of it Banana Who, since you have been around awhile. It comes highly recommended, and I've always got benefits from it, but it could be too strong while fasting. So, hubby juiced carrots and kale for me last night for today. He said it was a lot harder than the citrus to juice, so I don't t

Day 18. Felt real bad last night. My nerves in my back, legs and arms were irritated. I don't know if it's something in the vitamineral green, the oxy-powder, or just cleansing. I'm gonna just juice today. It almost seems that the citrus is getting too sweet for me, I don't really have a desire for it. I am contemplating going over to green juices and carrot juice.

Day 17. Feeling exuberant right now in the afternoon. Had periods of deep desire for food. I was going to say extreme hunger, but I realized it wasn't hunger pains as much as a deep emotional desire for food.I Persevered through it. I added in some vitamineral green drink, as well. I would really prefer to do some green juices, but I can't swing the cost or time in addition to doing the citrus

I haven't posted in a while, been going back and forth, doing good for awhile and then bingeing. My pattern has definitely been binge eating. I have been praying hard about this. My health has been in a seriously deteriorating condition. I kept on getting the answer in my spirit to fast.I tried a few times, and maybe did a day here and there. But, my cravings would overcome me. I was feeling so

Feeling much better. Taking smoothies to work, carrot sticks. fruit, I quickly burnt out on salads, but I'm finding the smoothies filling and satisfying. Cravings have gone way down. Not focusing on weight so much, but pants feel looser. I'm changing my habits. Diet not perfect, but adding in, adding in the good stuff.

This is some eye opening information. I never thought about consuming dulse in water like that. I saw some other stuff I can do, too. I just tried the dulse drink and it wasn't bad. I don't know if it's my imagination, but my sinuses started clearing up, I didn't even realize I had any blockage in that area. Thanks for the info, Sproutarian Man.

So, I've been doing some reading online on the different raw websites that are out there now, there are so many nowadays, and have come away with some helpful (to me) points. -cooked, esp. junk food is very addictive. That helps me to make sense of the fact that I have been struggling so much to stay on the raw path. -so many people have gone before me and utilized a raw veg lifestyle to achiev

Another thing I noticed is I use food as a reward. I feel good when I eat raw, but then to celebrate feeling good I want to go to a restaurant. This doesn't make any sense, because It's a lot harder to eat raw at a restaurant, and really at my stage in the game I don't belong in a restaurant because it's too tempting. Perhaps later on in life, I will be able to, like some of the other raw foodis

ok doing better as far as stomach/organ pain. Eating a lot more raw salads, etc. still experiencing the disconnect between my pain and food. specifically I ate salads, some fruit, sauerkraut at work but when my 3 day 12 hr shift rotation was over and I was feeling better, I wanted fried chicken, any fried food for that matter.I was going crazy for it, like I had to have it no matter what, jonesin

Well I made it through the day at work all raw, but this is where I usually get in trouble, I am home from work and hungry. This time is different though because my feet and lower legs are hurting. Also hands and lower arms are numb, with the needles feeling. Ok I see some cucumber in the fridge, I want to live.

Thank you for your comment banana who. Yes, I read Angelas blog online, years ago, very informative. I'm not feeling led to eat a lot of fruit at this time, but greens seem to be the key, I had a green smoothie this morning and my stomach jumped for joy. Yesterday was second day without metformin, my diabetes medicine. I ate a lot better than I normally do, woke up with a panic attack about 4 a

I went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago and he wanted me to continue with the medicine they put on in the hospital. Metformin. I am having great stomach and organ distress. I feel very sick as a matter of fact. It has not brought my blood sugar down to normal range and I'm risking kidney and liver damage. As of today I'm not taking the medicine anymore. Haven't followed Hallelujah diet as close

I decided on the hallelujah diet, since I know I can't go all raw. Too hard. Last 2 days followed it real close. Cleansing this morning. Gonna go make some juice.

I haven't posted anything in awhile. I've been eating whatever I desire, which is my comfort foods. Fastforward to april 25 and I went to the emergency room with chest pains. I thought I was having a heart attack, but I wasn't. It turns out that I have diabetes. OMG. I have to change my lifestyle. I got to start allover. I don't want to die or live in pain. Maybe this is the springboard I needed

Interesting topic. Many years ago I belonged to a religion that didn't allow celebration of any holidays, except wedding anniversaries. Very constricting. Now I find it hard to believe that I accepted these rules. Live and learn, and I don't say that lightly. After I left them I struggled to find what was important to me to celebrate and in what fashion. I think paying some special attention to

Thank you for the encouragment, chat. Right now I can't pinpoint my heartburn to any one food. I am suspecting either an ulcer or parasites. I like your idea of picturing goodness with eating healthy food. I'm really craving cantaloupe and watermelon. I find this interesting, since both crops are coming in now, locally. I'm not sure if my body is in tune with it's surroundings, ie craving loca

Doing better emotionally and food wise. Able to put down the cigs and meds. I tried a couple of days going all raw and felt so weak and stomach queasy. I realized I am going to transition. So eating a lot of fruit, green smoothie, boiled potato, air popped popcorn, cooked beans, and salads. My stomach is really bothering me. Heartburn mostly. This is not usually a problem. I've been taking a pro

I couldn't figure out how to make pics smaller. Sorry. I know the info is somewhere on here I just can't find it. Tired after night shift. I wanted to post a pic of my son, but I don't have very many since it was so hard to get him to slow down enough to pose. I hope someday to post a pic of myself all vibrant and healthy, that is my goal. As you can see, I can't even have smooth front on my pa

You guys are awesome. I bought the perfect pickler, too, but have been wary of trying it because it's getting to be summer and I was concerned about the temperature of inside my abode being too warm. But you got me so excited I'm gonna give it a shot.
