I like to do 2 meals the same, say for example, watermelon for both meals or a big bowl of leafy greens for both meals. That's about the extent of my mono-dieting. I like juicing, but then I use lots of different kinds of juices too.

3. Hello
Hi everyone, I am Nicole and I'm from Canada. I've been reading this board for years, but haven't posted much. "lurking" I believe is the correct term
Anyways, my goal is to improve my health through raw and living vegan foods. I have learned a lot just from reading here, I hope to continue to do so and absorb the awesome vibes from all you wonderful people

Hi,
I have food addiction, too. I am struggling too, and in the same boat. I am just going to believe in myself and take it one day at a time. Anyways just wanted to say I know what you are going through. Best of luck and support.

6. Bananas
I think I am allergic to bananas...whenever I eat them, I get stomach upset, bloating, gas and pain in my digestive tract. Similar to what happens if I eat gluten (which I am allergic to) although not nearly as severe.
Does anyone else get this when they eat bananas? It is disappointing to find that I cannot eat them. they are so delicious in a smoothie
I have tried them in smoothies and b

Hi coconana,
wow, that's an amazing experience you're having. Good on you for taking the initiative and getting healthy.
it sounds like you are doing a lot of emotional healing which is amazing. I think that it is so cool how your body just rejects the SAD food, wow, I wish mine would do that, lol. sorry I don't have much advice or anything, jus t that I think you are on the right track and to

I want to start a juice fast tomorrow hopefully. There are some lovely orchard apples on sale at the market and I love juicing them at this time of year. Is anyone fasting or planning on doing a fast at this time? Would love to have a buddie (s) and all the support I can get
happy juicing!

If you are constipated, juice some beets in with your juice, it really helps, also try sipping hot water, or hot water with lemon juice (although technically not raw). With juice fasting you have to experiment and find what works for you. I mostly stick to green juice combinations when I'm fasting. Hope you two are doing good, best of luck

Hi luvyuu,
one thing I have learned on my health journey is that its important to listen to your body and to be open to experimenting with different things. If i were you I'd try making small-ish changes, maybe not abandon raw completely, but like you said, try making your diet "warmer" while still raw or mostly raw. It could be just some small change that will help you feel better. Un

I just got some hemp protein and sesame seeds yesterday, and am excited to see how they turn out in my green smoothie today. I know that it is not an ideal combination to add fatty seeds in with fruits, but honestly I think that for now that would be better for me and help get some much-needed nutrition into my body than for me to eat a cooked meal instead.
I am really trying to get away from t

Hi janabanana,
Oh I LOVE adding wild greens to my smoothies! dandelion, nettle, plantain, lambs quarters, alfalfa greens, they really are high in minerals and very nutritious. I am sad that it is fall here in northern Canada and very soon there will be no more wild greens to pick on my walks

Thanks so much, you guys
you bring up very valid points. A lot of it is pschological, for sure. We are really brainwashed in our society to accept and revere cooked things that it is ingrained right into us from the start.
I am finding that the key is trial and error and learning from my mistakes and using what I learn and put it into practice. Staying committed when surrounded by people eatin

Hmm. this gives me an idea, what you said littlemermaid about how they are your staple diet. That's really cool, and I actually never thought about making one and using it as a meal before. I think that would be an excellent idea, I am going to try that. thanks so much for the tip!

Yes, this is an issue for me as well. I totally hear you on the "brain fog". I also experience this with almost anything cooked that I eat. It is so easy for me to slip back into unhealthy foods if I eat just 1 mouthful it opens the doors and away I go down that road again
I'm not sure if there are any cooked foods that are non-addictive and healthy for me to eat. I am at a point wh

I love making them out of water, spinach, kale, banana and either peach or strawberries....you can vary the percentage of greens to fruits..I like lots of greens not much fruit. I highly recommend you try them, they are AWESOME

Hi Jenna,
I absolutely understand where you are coming from. I find a lot of foods addictive myself and it is worse because I am an emotional eater, I use food as an emotional crutch. I am sorry I don't have a solution as I am struggling right now myself, but I am starting to think the same way, that I need to cut out everything addictive. anyway, you are definitely not alone

Thank you so much everyone. Your support and suggestions are very helpful. I know that right now this is only hard mentally and that once I detoxify somewhat it will get easier.
I was unsuccessful yesterday, I ended up eating some of my boyfriend's cooked supper
But I did have a big green smoothie and a big green salad. I just feel overwhelmed because in the last year I went through a seri

Hi marsh
thanks so much for your support, and for all your helpful suggestions, they will definitely help me out a great deal. I actually watched a video of Mimi Kirk the other day, absolutely amazing!
Day 2 for you, way to go! Awesome! we can do this. One day at a time, I guess. Tomorrow should be a successful day for me.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I've only just joined the forum although I have been reading as a guest for a few years.
I have spent the last few months preparing myself to switch to raw and now I
finally feel ready and yet each day I attempt it thinking "today is the day" and
then I end up screwing up and eating something cooked, dang it....I just don't
get why my mind
