211. Bad Fruit
I have been getting so much unripe crappy produce lately. Melon that has no flavor, plums with tough skin and no flavor, necatrines with a weird flesh texture. They go rotten before they ripen.
I hate spending $$$ on fruit and it's total crap. We have a fruit stand, but not a farmer's market that's local. There's organic at the health food store, but it looks unripe and is $5 a pound which I

I'm still transitioning. I have gut motility disease and seem to do best with blended raw bananas/nectarines/pears/baby spinach.
I get super bloated and want to be careful about veggies. I know mushrroms are easy for me to digest. Any suggestions? Salad sometimes is painfully bloating.
Any suggestions? Is mostly frutarian bad?

I agree with Bryan's post. My uncle had prostate cancer 3 years ago. He decided to forgo any typical cancer treatment and change his lifestyle completely to vegan minimum 70% raw. He never cheats. EVER. He is very healthy and through his health changes and spirituality he is going strong and things are not progressing.

Petaluma, Cotati, Santa Rosa.......just north of SF and a little less expensive than SF and Marin but within a short driving distance. Close to the beach, redwoods, Russian River. (I'm jealous). I miss home.

OK you really sparked my interest. How do you dry fruit on a box fan? I LOVE that idea!

Yeah Oklahoma... most farmers' markets are all locally grown. Ours is some local and somenot. Obviously pineapple & mango. I found 3 more markets that are local/organic and will be visting them next Saturday. I still miss Calif fresh fruit.

Do you mean eating more food in general? I am trying to be as comfortable as possible due to my gut motility disease. I almost had to leave work Friday as I was so uncomfortable. Also is it wise to separate veggies and fruit by an hour or so? And what of nuts and seeds? I'm a grazer.
Thanks!

I'm new. I heard not to eat veggies and fruits together because they digest differently. I had a fanastic salad Friday of greens, madarin orange, dried cranberry and almonds. It was heaven! I spent the next 4 hours with my belly full of gas, swelled like a balloon and popping out over my pants.
Why..does this happen??? The salad was SOOO good!

I have a paralyzed gut so I'll add my 2cents about the constipation. I buy magnesium powder from the health food store. It's called Natural Calm. I take 2-4 tsp per day in warm water and drink it. I cannot "go" without this.
Good luck to you. It feels yucky not to "empty" fully.

I heard if they are BLENDED together, no digestion problems as they are already broken down. If eaten whole, then it can be a problem.
