I find it weird that it's not on eBay, not is any used book store in the city, not used on-line. Amazon has it "used" for $26 instead of $30. Strange. How long has it been out?

PM me. I can't afford the $30 + shipping. I'm hoping for $10 or under. Thanks!

Thanks again for the input my friends. Last night I blended some fresh mushrooms with almond milk, and a bit of veggie broth. I warmed it and blended it. I swelled up, but I ate 2 cups. Maybe less would have been ok. With gastroparesis smaller amounts of food are usually tolerated better. Although I can have a 12-16oz banana smoothie w/o bloating and it lasts me about 4 hours. I guess with t

I don't know that I've ever seen a young coconut. Are they supposed to be healthier than ripe ones? Thanks for the peanut tip.

Doing fine with the bananas and a 1-2 T of peanut butter a day. I need to add in another fruit this weekend. I'm thinking melon, but it's not in season yet. Ick...cantalope. Maybe I'll try pinapple. It's seems pretty fibrous though. ???

What does apple cider vinegar do? I don't know about eating fat yet. It's hardder to digest. As I add in foods that is one I will definitely try. I love them.

I totally agree. There is a set "medical diet" for my condition. It starts with bullion and gatorade. (ick) My doctor told me to ignore and "diet" and eat (or drink) as many different foods as I care to. I try to listen to my body. Often people are told they need certain things... and often "they" are wrong. Also there is quite a mental process when changing the

Hi Bryan. Indeed I need to work on my stress level. I'm exercising and learning to meditate. Argula I wasn't meaning that I don't absorb food. There is a malabsorbtion issue with vitamins for people with Cushing's Syndrome along with weight gain. It from being medicated with cortisone for a long time. I was 5'5" 128 lbs and wore a size 5 when I started taking the cortisone. It a horri

I'm trying to mostly mono eat. I guess I need to develope a taste for melon. I'm also going to try some juicing again when there's more fruit variety in the coming months. I think if I can find a green juice that I like that it would be good. Hek even if I hate it, it would still be good. So far the only vitamin they have measured that I can't absorb is vitamin D. I'm on 50,ooo IU a week. My

Hi again, Some of you know I have a gut motility illness and after a 5 month search for eating in a way that's tolerable, I'm back to high raw. My goal is to avoid a feeding tube because that's the next step if I can't find a way to eat that doesn't make me sick. I mostly have pain and severe bloating 24/7 and acid reflux and occasional vomiting of undigested food. Today I have acid reflux and

Thanks Sharrhan! <3 With my gastroparesis I have absorbtion issues. First things first... eat (or drink) what I can and try to keep the bloating down. It would be nice to wear jeans again. My tum bloats out to about 50 inches when I eat. My hips are 38 inches. I have to wear elastic waist pants. Mmm.... attractive. Plan of attack: High raw (high fruit). I'm doing an elmination diet.

It's been 5 months since I have been here. My GP has been horrid and I have been searching for a way to eat solid food. I tried McDougall's site (recommended here). All the fruit & veggies & beans were a disaster. It was simply awful. I keep fighting the knowledge that I should most likely go liquid because everything hurt and bloats. I did vegan, vegetarian, low fat pescatarian. No diffe

I don't want to buy plastic bottles and am getting a stainless bottle to carry my water in, but what to fill it with? Even Ozaka 5gal bottles no longer come in glass and are all plastic. Are we doomed to any water we drink having plastic chemical leached into it?

I'm going through the same thing. I'm glad you started this thread, because I get embarrased when I struggle and won't post about it. I think sticking to the raw meals in spite of choosing other foods is a great idea. I vomited a LOT after eating a greasy cooked meal at a friends. It wouldn't have killed me to wait out the 4 hours. I was hungry, but it wasn't worth it. :-)

I SO wanted to jump into 100% raw and not look back. know I shouldn't... but I kinda feel like a failure. I just want to be comfy where I'm satisfied w/o bending to eat crap.. and then go from there. If I keep flipping back and forth, it's got to me a mental issue would think. They say if you want it bad enough, you'll just do it...I don;t think that's always the case though, because I do want

The problem is vegan starches.... rice or potatoes. If it was veggies only there would be no craving. I'm making adjustments and allowing myself some cooked veggies. I have a tendancy to try to be "perfect" and get frustrated when I'm not. I think I'm going to ease back into things... maybe 50/50 or whatever feels right. I'm fine the entire day, but don't seem to find the thought of raw satisfying at dinner. I end up eating cooked vegan, which leads to crappy vegan snacks later like corn flakes. I know it's emotional as "dinner" may represent family time, cooking, etc. Like a lot of women I'm still cooking for my family while transistioning. I know what represents "dinner" should not be linked

This has been my problem. Too much worry, no peace. It's lead to going back and forth between raw and cooked junk food. I guess I need to be simplistic and just calm down about it all. debbietook Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi pineapple girl > > There's nothing wrong with eating fat, IF it's > raw. With all the waste that has been dumped into an onto this lans via factories and even the military going back 40-50 years, I think there a few areas where the soil is "ideal" and even if the foods are grown oragnically the may be growing over a radiation dump or something. We all do the best we can, but it'll never be like it was pre 1030s. Sad. Lillianswan Wrote: ----------------

I just don't want to lose anymore hair and quite frankly I'm confused about what to eat to get optimal nutrition. It all makes my head spin. What I know at present: From living SAD or genetics or what ever I have: Hypothyroidism Hypopiuitarism Diabetes Adrenal failure (which I believe they can be brought back though I'm told otherwise) Gut paralysis from stomach to colon (which they said

Hi, I'm thinking about doing 811 and have been researching a lot. I've come across hair falling out and not growing back, raw people saying you don't get enough nutrients and our bodies and his reputation will pay for it later. I'd like some opinions from anyone here that's actually followed it. Thanks!!
