I received my package from Gopals! I love that site. They even threw in a few extra crackers. That is just good kharma. So...ofcourse, last night I had to stop by the raw bar at Whole Foods to pick up their pumpkin seed cheeze which is OMG delish. Will definitely spread well on my "rawker". I also stopped by Daily Juice cafe for some raw pie. Oh yea. Let's just call it a little

I am with you Luvyuu! Too much negativity is poisonous. I think eating must be one of those things like "religion". Tolerance is a better mind set than intolerance. And to those that have the knowledge and chose not to follow it...then that is there choice and we should not judge that choice. My personal intention is to educate without judgement and to set the example in my own lif

How does Quinoa fit into the picture? I myself am not eating grains...but I have heard many raw food coaches suggest quinoa as a transition food for individuals wanting to go raw. Ron? Any thoughts?

Hi Banana, Veggies are definitely lovely...but this is just an "ingredient" I use in a more elaborate taco. I also use raw "refried beans" which consists of sunflower seeds, cumin, chili powder, salt, garlic and a touch of agave. Then I layer a collard green with the "beans" and the "meat" some spring mix, cut up red bell pepper and carrot...and top it

I just wanted to share what I feed my dog, Bongo. He is a 10 year old Aussie Shepherd mix and has eaten food like Iams and the like for his entire life. When I started eating healthier, I put him on this food...and HE LOVES IT! The food is from thehonestkitchen.com. They make cat and dog food. Most of the varieties contain dehydrated meat but they make a variety called "preference&q

Something really strange happened this weekend. I have been filling my composter since last summer with various things in order to have GREAT compost to use this spring. Well...my boyfriend went to turn the Ecomposter and it turned a little too easily. He opened it up and called me outside. 90% of the compost had disappeared! My first thought was----"SOMEONE STOLE MY COMPOST!" Th

Break Through- Day 10!!! I woke up this morning practically springing out of bed for my 5am spin class! Whew...I am finally feeling "right" and sleeping "right." I had a great weekend. Spend Saturday at an organic market picking up greens for my juice, then headed to the park for some hiking with my dog. Saturday evening I attended a couples bridal shower for one of

I think everyone works at there own pace and should not be judged for "straying" off the straight and narrow of raw foods. I look at raw foods as the Kaizen of life...continual, incremental improvements=huge pay offs. Those suffering from addiction will find the right life space to over come it...if that is their true desire. Organic, fair trade coffee isn't all bad. Great for e

It is Thursday and whatever had been weighing me down this week has lifted...at least momentarily. I feel better. And my skin is glowing! So exciting. Today was a bit cathartic for me. I cleared out all my perfumes and lotions that contained chemicals, brought them to work and gave them to the ladies at my office. Hundreds of dollars spent on products that contain chemicals that kill. Why

Arianem, Don't worry about the weight right now. Your body will level out after about a year on raw and should begin to stabilize after 6 months. At least that is what I had previously experience. I would recommend weight training. Building muscles is a great way to protect bone mass and increase overall weight. Good luck! Trox

This is a diary and an introduction...all rolled up into one neat package. I will be updated this post with my current meal plans and anything else that comes to mind. (PM me if you want recipes) I hope this post provides inspiration to others that come from a similar place to open up and invite true health and well being into their life. I am a life long vegetarian, but did not understand

Today is Day Four of being 100% raw. And my moods have been awful over the past three days. Seriously...I can barely be with myself, feeling angry and irritated. I would assume this is detox of some sort, but I started my journey with a master cleanse prior to going 100% raw, then did a two day juice feast. I don't remember the mood swings and anger being as prominant the last time I went r
