I enjoy astrology and Feng Shui. Once I had bought a book on Chinese Astrology and my son and I were reading it and figuring out our Chinese year, and I got mine wrong. I was reading it and it came up all wrong for me and I kept saying...that's not me, that isn't even close to me..then I redid the numbers and came up with the Dragon and when we read that I said, that's me! It was weird. I'

From what I understand grains like bread give us a boost of serotonin, so I think certain things that give us that kind of boost are the things hardest to give up. Grains, pastas, chips, and then there's milk, and of course there's chocolate which always does it for me. Love, Prism

Fuzzysox, if you feel alone and tired of doing the same things that you aren't happy with, try to find a raw food meet either at yahoo.com or meetup.com I've met many raw fooder that way and really they are a bunch of nice, support, giving folks. You'll find like minded people you can get to know in person, and with this board, you'll have lots of support. Love, Prism

The following green juice helps, 10 oz of carrot juice, 4 oz of beet with top, 4 oz of cucumber. You can also try some hot or warm or room temp water with fresh lemon juice. Love, Prism

Ah..I some typos in my above post..oh well..I think he does uses fresh raw foods, but just by the decription given by someone that worked there in post above, it seems like he puts people on expensive supplements which don't seem to have an ending in sight. Mike (this is a friendly question) how come you don't respond to CoconutCream's post of: {I have , and honestly folks, while I was ther

Ah..well just get right back to raw foods. One day of cooked doesn't undue all your health benefits from prior health gained from raw foods. But if you continue on, it may. Love, Prism

I think that the place sound dreadful, and wouldn't go there to work, or detox. Why someone thinks that putting someone on a bunch of supplements instead of fresh raw foods is beyong me..of course it's for profit and that is where his integreity goes out the door for me. He doesn't sound any better than a Dr. putting someone on meds and more meds and never telling the person when they can expe

I like to use frozen fruits for smoothies, but only for part of the smoothie. I'll have fresh banana, and mango, then add in frozen berries. I like my smoothie chilled. Just eating unthawed frozen fruits though..I couldn't do it, not even for raspberries. Love, Prism

I'm pretty sure I read in my Norman Waker book on fruit and veggie juices, that it may cause stones in our gallbladders and livers.. Here's what the stuff is: baking soda: Also known as bicarbonate of soda. bicarbonate of soda: Inorganic compound, white, crystalline salt of sodium, chemical formula NaHCO3 Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, comes from soda ash obtained either through

I've been thinking of getting one too..I'd love to make some flax seed crackers and some other crunchy things. There should be cheap ones out there to buy for first timers and we can always use our ovens I'm told. How do you do that? Cute picture of you and baby Sage! Love, Prism

Can your parents afford to get you into a dermatologist, they can use new tools now to help clear your skin of the bacteria and then give you some advise on how to keep it from recurring. You might try using a hand sanitizer and use that often thru-out the day, we do touch our faces quite often and our hands are full of germs which then get onto our faces which doesn't help when you have open

I would think that most of the harder seeds are going to pass right thru your body. I eat seeded watermelon and don't worry about eating the seeds. I've made tea out of the seeds before too. I don't eat the other seeds you stated, except on occassion apple seeds maybe. How does one eat an apricot seed? What if you are eating 10 apricots at one time? Love, Prism

I had a combo of carrot juice, beet with its top, and cucumber yesterday and I'm thankful I was home afterwards, 'cause it cleaned me out for about 2 and 1/2 hours! Whew!!! Must have lost a pound or two from just that drink! Love, Prism

I've done a series of colon cleanses, and I'd say that with 100% raw produce, nuts, and seeds, you can cleanse just as well over time. I did them because I was overweight, had lost a lot of weight in a short time on raw foods, and felt like trying it out. I thought they were good to do for me, and I would do them again as a spring cleanse, and fall cleanse..so 2 a year for a couple years, unti

I've been feeding my Maltese raw dog food for most of his life, and he's 8 years old now. He's never had anything wrong with him and he's got tons of energy..good thing since he and I do licensed childcare and have done that also for most of his life. I feed him raw dog food I get from my pet store, mine is called Natural and I buy the beef..the chicken one gives him the runs sometimes. I also

You will feel better, you will get healthier, and you will lose weight..I know this from my own experience. You can't be any worse off then I was when I first went raw, and the first 2 months were not great for me either..I was sick, sick, sick..but I could tell it was helping because my energy was up, I was losing weight, and I had a better mental clearity. I was told I had numerous fibroid tumors and when I went raw at 50 years of age I went thru hell in detoxing, all kinds of health problems cleared up. One thing that happened was I went into full menopause and haven't had a period since going raw, I can't recall how long it took before I quit those spotting irregular periods, but I know it wasn't more than 6 months. I belive one thing that he

I can't do coffee and high raw or 100% raw at the same time. I use milk and sugar in my coffee and that just sets me up to crave more sugars..and junk foods. I quit coffee (the second time since going raw 5 years ago) over a month ago (which I started drinking again about 6 months ago) . It's just now that I'm actually doing well in eating mostly raw again, I figure it's due to several reason

You could also add in warm glass of lemon water or a couple thru-out the day. As stated above, citrus juices will help cleanse, and pineapple, mango, and papaya all heavy on enzymes also help to degunkafy your body of toxic waste matter. I got all that you have and worse when I detoxed the first time. I got earaches (I felt I had to go to the Dr.s after a month of pain). I also got red swolle

You could do some celery juice, or eat a couple stalks of it and see if that satisfies your craving for salt and the fiber should help cleanse too. Oh..and lemon in water is a good cleanser too. A couple glasses per day for a few days. I plan on doing that along with my 3 day cleanse. Love, Prism

I've used distilled water for years, and since going raw (up and down with the percentage) I don't think one needs to worry too much about minerals. I also juice though which I think helps a lot. Love, Prism

I'll just do the juice fasting day, and I'm going to use the couple combos Norman Walker advocates for arthritis..they seem like good one, and many I've used before with good results. 1 pint of each combo thru-out the day: Grapefruit juice Carrot and spinach juice Celery juice Carrot and celery juice Carrot, beet and cucumber juice He tells how much of each one in the book. I bought a book by N.W. Walker and it's called Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices. In it he says for a cleansing or detox, to drink Sodium Sulfate in water or what is called Glaubers Salt..or use Pluto Water (all outdated I'm sure). I'm asking if I can use my moist grey celtic sea salt instead of those outdated items. I think I did see where it was a good cleanser for the morning drink. Lov

Bread is a carb and helps to get that serotonin high we all like so much..makes us feel calm and relaxed. So, you might try some raw sprouted grains, or maybe some dehydrated flax crackers, or you could have some popcorn with celtic sea salt. Air popped or popped with some coconut oil which I like using. Not raw, but it's a good snack while transitioning. I'm still reseraching it.. Love, P

Bacteria from the daily grind, cosmetics/lotions, etc..can cause those skin problems. Keeping your skin clean with something like hydrogen peroxide will help, making sure you get all the B vitamins from foods, brewers yeast, or supplements also helps. Might try a light application of tea tree oil at nighttime. Or mix a drop or two in some coconut oil and apply to troubled areas. Love, Pris
