Hi Sarah, I've worked with Doug Graham for the past 2 years. I did a 25 day long water fast with him, too. He just says that my body is retaining water in order to heal itself. I guess I should just deal, but it's hard. I hardly eat anything, and I'm still gaining weight. I'm so restrictive and strict with myself, I can't believe it's not working! Hi Dancerinthenight, I understand how you've

I got it from exercising 5 hours a day + working as a teacher all day. Then I was lucky to get 5 hours of sleep at night. I did this for years. I guess I'm having to pay. How did you get yours?

So I've been on 80-10-10 for almost 2 years. At first I got down to my goal weight easily (about 100 lbs). I developed adrenal fatigue and have stopped exercising heavily. I have gained about 30 pounds. I have had amenorrhea for about 4 years now, and I know my hormones are all out of whack. My medical doctor suggested I start counting calories, but whenever I lower my calories too much I get str

Hello, I'm intrigued by your recent posts and am wondering if you can tell me what you typically eat in a day. Also, I remember reading that you don't really do high impact type workouts anymore (just walking if I remember correctly). I have adrenal fatigue and can't work out too much, so I'm just wondering what has worked for you if you don't mind sharing. Thanks so much, Tammy

I don't think rice is a wise food choice at all. But, instead of rice, I usually put some cauliflower in my food processor. It turns into the consistency of rice and tastes a whole lot better, not to mention it is a thousand times better for you! Love, Tammy

Hello! I'm trying to feed my two Maltese the best raw food diet possible. Usually they eat free range organic beef with all different parts ground in. They love raw chicken wings, too. Problem is - they don't really like veggies too much. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get them to eat more veggies? Thanks so much! Love, Tammy

Hello Inaia First, let me start by saying that your voice is absolutely beautiful! I love your website! There are a lot of people on this board that follow Dr. Doug's 80-10-10 Diet. When I first went raw I started this way because I don't like making recipes/dehydrating things and his plan is the most simple! Eat tons of fresh fruits and veggies! I've been following 811 for over a year and

I am an elementary school teacher in an un-air-conditioned classroom, and it gets very hot in there. I walk around all day and most days it reaches 90+ degrees in my room. I have found that a paste of baking soda and water works perfectly for me.I just rub it under my arms, and it works like a charm. Some days if I forget to rub that on, I do get a 'musk' like scent (not BO), which is just a n

Dr. Graham promotes a high fruit/low fat diet to get rid of candida. He has seen people with chronic candida heal in a matter of days when eating this way. His website is www.foodnsport.com. He also has a forum over at vegsource.com. Best of luck to you. Love, Tammy

Hello and thanks for the help! It must be water retention because I do have adrenal fatigue. I usually only eat mono-meals (lots of mono-days, too) of bananas. I still do get bloated then, too! I've been following 811 for a year and a half. Thanks, again!

This happened to me a while ago. I'm not sure if it was because I wasn't eating enough greens or because I had adrenal fatigue and needed more rest. Do either of those apply to you? Hope you feel better!

Anytime I eat anything anymore - my stomach looks huge! It is really distended. I think I'm having some problems with my digestion. Do you recommend probiotics for this? Or should I just wait it out? Thanks!

Well, I made it one day at school while water fasting. It was hard to concentrate and do my work with a headache, nausea and dizziness. I have to be quick thinking and on my feet all day at work. I think I'm going to go for a mono-diet of bananas for a few weeks instead of doing the water fasting. It should give me some benefits of a fast while allowing me to continue to work. Maybe I will try a

Thank you all for your input. I'm wondering if any of you have ever water fasted while working. I find it difficult to get through the day (I'm an elementary school teacher on my feet all day at work). Thanks!

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. I, like Bryan, had adrenal fatigue way before I went raw. Problem is, I continued to exercise like crazy and not get enough sleep. It has all caught up to me now. I think my thyroid is out of whack now. I got blood tests done this week at the doctor's office. I don't know what I'll do if they recommend synthroid or something like that. I can't take off

As an elementary school teacher and low fat raw vegan, I understand where you are coming from! It is extremely frustrating to watch my students throw away their apples and purchase ice cream instead. Our school's idea of a 'balanced meal' is chicken fries, whipped potatoes with gravy, and a sugar filled juice pack. The only thing I can do is make sure I have plenty of fruits around my room at all

Hello everyone! I have adrenal fatigue. I have been taking forced rest since December (since overexercising/underresting was the cause of the adrenal fatigue). I eat high fruit/low fat (meaning I have only eaten overt fat twice in 1.5 years). But I am gaining weight like crazy!!! I can't take it anymore! The doctor said it must be my body healing itself, and I know that's important but I just ca

Cravings for cooked food, heavy food, and high fat foods come because you are not eating enough sweet fruit. Eat more sweet fruit, and you will find that the cravings subside substantially. Good luck!

Hi Mocah! You asked: "Does taking in the bee pollen and calmag in the morning not make me raw?" I would say that the bee pollen doesn't make you vegan, and I don't know if it's raw. I'm not sure what calmag is. I don't think it's necessary. I just stick to the basic fruits and veggies, and I feel that I get all that I need. You also asked: "Also what else do some of you do f
