Yum. I can't find dill (weird!) but I bought dill seeds. I made a salad of cucumber, white onion, dill seeds, orange juice and raw almond butter. Delicious!

I probably pee about 20 times per day. This is relatively normal for me - I drink at least 3L of water daily in addition to lots of fruit and veg.

Hmm. Do you think probiotics would help?

Excellent! I think I want to try this! I could go for a banana day, an apple day, and probably a carrot day. Romaine perhaps, too. Oh, the possibilities.

So the problem here is that I get bad breath at night, after not eating anything for a few hours. Brushing my teeth and tongue very well don't help too much. I'm thinking perhaps I have a candida problem? I am trying to cut back on fats and sugar as an experimental way to fix it. Anyways, I'm wondering if there's anything that will help. Can I consume mint leaves on their own? Would that help

I have wondered about that myself - I think maybe I'm low on iron, because I tend to binge on figs and raisins, while leaving the equally delicious dried cranberries and apricots alone. I'm afraid of the calorie content though! I need a lower-sugar alternative for iron. I think I will buy some spinach today and do up a salad with it and a Vitamin C source, as spinach is high in iron. If it'

They're wonderful! Especially nice if you don't eat cucumber all that often and just want one little one as a snack instead of a 2-ft long one.

Mmm, I love salsa on salads, and I love to dip 'low-flavour' veggies in it, like celery and cucumber.

Those are trigger foods too though, and I know from experience - a fig binge causes lotttttts of gas. I completely love figs, but I can't let myself buy them because I will eat a whole pack in five minutes, and that's like ten servings (over 1,000 calories!)

I believe rooibos teas have no caffiene. Black, green and white do. Herbals probably don't, and fruit blends don't (unless otherwise specified).

I don't get my period very often =/ I haven't had it since beginning raw, and only have had it twice since going vegan eight months ago. Two pregnancy tests, and I'm not pregnant.

Swallowing whole papaya seeds should help. Raspberries are particularly high in fiber. Drink more water if you don't already drink plenty!

I live in constant stress because of my environment. I live in a beautiful home, but my mom is a junk collector and keeps the house a huge mess. I clean and organize the house all day long when she's on vacation, but then she just comes home and messes it up immediately, even when I ask nicely 'please don't put your stuff on the kitchen table and on the couch in the family room - I have just spen

Matcha is stronger than green tea because you're actually ingesting the ground tea leaves. I'm going to consume it daily for a month (in smoothies) with a 90%+ raw diet, and if I think it's doing more harm than good, I will stop using it. Apparently the caffeine in tea doesn't have the side effects of that in coffee, and I think I believe that...unless it's just a matter of the amount of caffeine

I'm still doing well. I ate a lot at once yesterday, I think because I was nervous about starting my new job. When I ate a lot though, it was just fruit and vegetables. Bananas, apples, zucchini, carrots, cucumber. On some days I plan out what I'll eat, and others I don't. I eat more if I'm home all day, and a lot less if I'm out. Today: Smoothie: banana, orange, 2 strawberries, frozen grape

You are all amazing - thank you for your advice. My goal is to achieve ten days without a binge. I have followed that rule with any habit - break a habit for ten days, and it will be broken for good. So far, it has been one full day. I have dropped four pounds in 24 hours (okay, mostly water weight I assume) but I feel great. Yesterday I ate: 7am: Smoothie: Banana, strawberries, blueberri

I read that you should put the tea/water in a large clear glass jar and place it in the sun. It is ready when it's the colour you prefer your tea. I think my book said 6-8 hours, but I could be wrong, and I'm certain that it would vary depending on your preference.

-I feel more energetic on a raw diet. -I am not constantly thirsty, and I don't need to sit on the toilet for more than 30 seconds, hah. -I makes sense to me that I get a good dose of vitamins with every bite, and am not putting 'fillers' into my body that have less nutrients. -Nothing tastes better than fruit, and there is no lunch or dinner more refreshing than a nice crisp salad. -

23. Binges?
I've had a binge-eating disorder for a couple of months and haven't told anyone. I've gained about 15lbs and was mostly bingeing on cereals and breads at night. I thought going raw would save me - if I binged on fruits or vegetables, it wouldn't be much of a big deal because I'd feel full before consuming too many calories, and I would eventually stop craving. Well, unfortunately I've taken t

I would say avoid citrus fruits completely, and try to limit other fruits that are acidic to the mouth like apples, pears, etc. I think berries would be safe, as long as they're not too cold. I can't think of any veggies to avoid.

Thank you all - very helpful thoughts and information. I'm taking things slowly right now - I didn't have coffee this morning (yay!), but just Yerba Mate tea. Yes, caffeinated, but not as much as coffee. Eating lots of fresh and dried fruit, some nuts/raw almond butter, lentils that I sprouted, organic store-bought salsa, and vegetables. I'm not sure that the nuts, salsa and dried fruit are

I'd be eating lots of f&v AND drinking 'magic drinks' if by that you mean tea. Would the tea add anything 'impure' to my body?

So, I tried going raw for about five days in February and I loved it. However, it was right before a vacation, so I didn't keep it up. I'm planning on starting over tomorrow. I finally bought a Raw book with lots of information and recipes, so I'm able to experiment more. (this week I'm just trying recipes that don't require more than a blender, and I plan to soon buy a food processor, followed
