What do you all think of the master cleanser/lemonade diet? Have you done it? How do you do it? For how long? It seems that everywhere I have gone over the last few days, there is info/advertisment to buy the ingredients for it, which, I suppose with this being January (Unofficial fitness month?) and all, I guess alot of people are doing it. I would like to hear others' take on this.

Hey Uptown- I was vegan for a quite a while, and then went raw. At first I tried to be 100% raw but I found that it just did not work for me...so now, as someone said in an earlier post, I just add alot of raw to my diet....it works so much better for me. I have to say that I DO avoid all types of soy (minus edemame) products and I avoid processed foods, refined sugar and fried stuff

Pure vanilla extract, dried coconut, coconut oil (butter), good cocoa, avocados, nutritional yeast, maple syrup, raw honey, raw agave, seeds for sprouting, good whole grain mustard, good olive oils. Juicer and food processor are good to have also. And a dehydrator.

This is too much. I buy organically grown bananas and use them all the time. There are alot more things/foods to be concerned about than whether or not bananas are BAD....geez... What else do I need to avoid? Orgnaic blueberries? Are Strawberries going to cause me to grow excessive facial hair? What about celery? or cauliflower? Oh my gosh, and all that kale and romaine that I use for gr

The holidays are over! Friends and relatives are GONE!! Thank goodness!! I love the holidays but I am severly "holiday hungover".... A friend suggested a juice fast for two weeks....I have not been doing much raw at all...barely any juicing since the beginning of December. I had a huge pinapple/carrot/mango/blood orange juice today, and am thinking of trying to do the juice fast

Hi Pak- Try adding a little warm water to the batter before you shape them...thats what I do. Also maybe not dehydrate them as long? Glad you like the recipe! I added some candied ginger to the tops of mine...it gives them a little sweet-spicy kick. I have great chocolate chip cookie recipe if you want it...tastes almost identical to the real tollhouse cookie recipe! Dafodil

When I responded to this post, it was on the RF page, not this one. I do not agree that the gov't or big pharma "pushes" these drugs on kids...PARENTS are repsonsible for what prescriptions their kids are given, or not given. Within limits, of course...a child over 18 can make other choices, I guess. When do we, as a society, stop putting 100% of the blame for some kid who ca

Heres the recipe for the cookies: The quantities are estimations, so use your best judgement, and play with it if you want. 1/2 cup of raw cashews (almonds would work too) 1/2 cup brazil nuts 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ginger(dried) but you can also use fresh grated 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract (you can sub maple extract also) 1/8 cup raw honey 1/8 cup molass

OMG...I just read your original post..I have been going through the same ordeal...looking for a J-O-B...depressed...feeling anti-social and yet wanting more from your life...I am convinced that my depression is due in large part to the foods I eat and when I do not exercise it just gets worse...I am hoping you get better, but its comforting to know that we're not alone either. Keep trying...life

So I ate mostly raw today for the first time in several months...I am feeling a little better, so I made some raw gingerbread cookies...they are dehydratidng right now, but the batter tastes really yummy....I put little pieces of crystalized ginger on top of them.... I have been feeling really bad lately and I know its b/c of what I've been eating; all cooked, heavy, rich stuff...I had a sprou

I have not been here in a very long time and during that time I have not been raw, not been vegan... I am now feeling really sick. I threw up and had some weird diarrea last night. Sorry for grossing anyone out. I do not know why I got so sick...I was nauseated for most of the evening. I have been eating and drinking alot of rich, "holiday" type of foods since Thanksgiving, but I

Right on, Anna!! I think if you let numbers or how technically correct a raw food may or may not be dictate your life, then whats the point? The raw food way of eating should be enjoyable! If you have to examine and calculate every single choice (especially those which are already VEGAN) then it takes the pleasure out of eating. I am too much of a hedonist to allow that! LOL!

The corn salad was yummy, and no I have not had any problems digesting it, or what not. Its very crunchy and sweet, the texture reminds me a bit of jicamma. I had it with guacamole and hummus. I added edamamme to it, so it was really good.

If you like green tea, then why not drink it? It is supposed to be good for you, and if you like it, but aren't drinking it because of worrying about percentages (100%, 75, etc) then your depriving yourself. Who's opinion are you worried about? Who gives a rats ass if its 100% raw? I don't mean to offend anyone, but its not as if your asking this forum if its "ok" to eat raw beef

There is a book called "Raw Food made Easy for One or Two People" (Jennifer Cornbleet). It is simple, straightforward and the recipes do not require alot of special equipment. It was the first book I bought about being raw. It helps alot and diffuses alot of the intimidation about preparing raw foods. If you want to look at beautiful photos of what raw cuisine can look like, a

I still eat some cooked...I think Im in "permanent" transition. Don't be so hard on yourself, and try to stick with an eating plan that works for YOU. I realized a while ago that while I may not be 100% all of the time, I try to make good choices when I do eat cooked. No one is perfect, so don't worry so much if "today" isn't "the day"....But if you eat raw and co
