Ive been involved with a few projects of late! a raw catering service, mostly for festivals, retreats, and local events. Im endevoring to create a 'family'/tribe business that supports local farmers and organic farmers everywhere. Our lan

nedsin,
I have not seen the hatred you say youve encountered. I luv ya
Hey one very important fact, most people here are transitioning and figuring out what really works. I suggest you do not stereotype everyone who eats raw based on people here (who are also seeking advise, like you are!)
Sounds to me like you have been looking into what this raw diet is all about, reading forums and v

really? I dont have loose skin. and I dont subscibe to "needing more protein" from beans, grains, etc... Maybe some people would benefit more from those foods. you seem to be making grand (cooked food model) assumptions.
but thanks for adding your view!

hey nedsin,
maybe your disatisfaction is due to the chemical changes from not getting protien from meat. I know there is an uncomfortable transition that has to take place. maybe detox. I suggest talking to Storm from or The Fruitarian One...

Hey nedsin,
>>>I think it's better for people who are mostly sedentary and the people who obviously aren't working out as hard as I do.
ummmm, no. I call bullsh-t. your way off. I'm sorry your experience has been negative, but you are wrong in that statement. you are either lying or need more education/experience in physiology and raw nutrition. If your doing that kind of work-o

shep 252,
nobody said that. the carrots was just an example.
here's another one
you could eat two bunches of kale, a bunch of celery, and a thumb of ginger. or drink that in a couple of glasses of juice. either way is good, and of course it is your choice. CHOW.

?!?!?!
you're getting caught up in the "isnt natural" syndrome
- when I first went raw i started drinking vegetable, fruit, and green juice and was transformed by it: dramatic changes and insight came through!
juicing was one of the best things that ever happened "to me"

hey Marcos,
if may ask: im curious to how old you are? e-mail me if you want
I kinda know what you mean about Graham, (except the jerk part)
I've met him at lectures at various rawfood festivals. He is very much natural hygienish, and advocates a high fruit/low fat/protien diet. And he does make alot of sense when he talks about most stuff (I disagreed with a few key things), yet I saw alo

hey aubrey,
im not trying to imply that you should or should not eat fish. it is your discernment that will determine that. i eat fish sometimes, i love raw sushi. i will someday give fish up completely however because of:
=murcury and other heavy metals found everywhere
=fish are filters, and what they are filtering is chemicals...
=the high risk of biologic contamination of any animal p

try making your own raw (but real) pasta w/ flax seed 'flour', or winter wheat berry flour, or buckwheat flour etc... make the dough string it out, dehydrate it, add sauce mmmmmmmmmmm
can't find recipe's?

>>I feel that cleanses and flushes are very unnatural and harsh to the body.
that's true, but who was raised perfectly "natural"?
Also unnatural is a lifetime of cooked foodstuff, rubbery mucus lining the colon, parasites, toxic build-up in the liver, gall and kidney stones etc...
rawfood alone will not always rid these things, a combination of fasting, rawfoo

steamed broccoli turns all sulfury and nasty in my opinion.
as discussed steaming is LESS harmful then other forms of cooking.
steaming is perfectly OK (especially if you digestive system is compromised and cant handle all the plant fiber yet), great transition food, not my "cup of tea" but certainly better than alot of things...
