Sorry to hear about this, Hear a few suggestions that might help. I agree with the above. Lots of water, and drink herbal teas if you drink anything other then water. Chew, chew, chew your food very well, even if it is juice or a smoothie. It's easy to form the habit of "drinking" these when really we are "eating" when we consume juices and smoothies. There is a very big

I should point out that I'm not 100% raw right now. In respect for the rules of the forum, I didn't include the small portion of my daily intake that is not raw.

I'm in Southern CA. but the melons are from Mexico, and countries further south this time of year. I use nori sheets to make rolls for finger food, but I don't eat it every day, maybe a pack of ten sheets a month. When I make green smoothies, I put a serving of a powder called Vitamineral Green in it. The way I eat changes all the time though. Sometimes I get real into big salads for we

Been doing this for almost ten years. Not always 100% though. My raw kitchen changes all the time based on the seasons, my whims, the local weather, if I have a girlfriend, and sales. Leafy greens, dates, nuts and melons being my only year round staples. Right now, no gf, so I'm into keeping it simple. Today, my counter has about 10 melons, a bowl each of oranges, apples, mangoes, and

It's an endless knee jerk reaction cycle. When we elected a democrat as president the the gun lobby groups got vocal, and held "open carry protests". That was the first knee jerk reaction. As soon as there is mass murder using guns people start talking about changing gun laws. The second knee jerk reaction. As soon as anyone talks about CHANGING gun laws. gun owners start actin

You may not have heard of her before but I'm sure you've seen some of her pictures before. She is among these anti-aging yoga diva's:

Kinda funny thinking back 30 years, but she has always been a very good basics teacher. That's why she was so popular. I don't know about the dvd, I just have the book. She probably updated her technique, but the basic positions and breathing will always be the same. The book covers those very well. HH is right Barbara Benagh is also a very good choice.

Lilias Folan. Look for the dvd set called "Yoga and You". I've had that book for almost 30 years, and still refer to it sometimes. She's in her 70's now and looking great.

I Forgot to add my workout. 20 to 40 minutes of yoga 6 days a week for flexibility and strength (Lots of downward dogs) holding positions long for strength. I just started light lifting. Squats mostly, 3 days a week. I did my first HIIT sprints on a hill this week and got my butt kicked. I plan on doing that 2 times a week I work with my own body weight a lot. My new thing is holding

If balance if what you want in a workout, variety is the key. I think Bruce Lee would be the perfect example of a someone who used a balanced workout to achieve incredible results. After making The Green Hornet in 1967, Lee was disappointed with the results of an all martial arts and yoga workout. In order to increase his strength and speed, he added weightlifting, massive amounts of sit-u

John, Wouln't it be easier to use transcribing software like this?: I use the premium version for my business, but they have a home version for under $100. Works great, just play the vid and let it transcribe, then correct/clean up later. You said you love to do it, but With all the transcribing and copy/paste you do, it would save a lot of time.

At the risk of more of your twisted feedback babble... You seem to think that if one does not dwell on the evils of the world, one is not aware of them. You know absolutely nothing about me. The fact that you have deluded yourself into believing you can accurately categorize someone like this is laughable. You are a blogger, which means you believe, and claim that you are an expert on a

John. No I will not do the homework that you think you can asign. Research your own posts if you can't remember. No, I will not give anymore "feedback" for you to cherry pick and twist. Re-eread my posts on this thread a couple of times. You seemed to have skipped alot words the first time around.

I would be happy to give you feedback if you would answer my questions. Instead, you wrote another long post trying to justify your disrespectful treatment of others. I will say this: Your assessment of me is totally inaccurate. Your assumption that you can categorize someone in such a way by reading internet posts is total self-deception at best. Let me be clear about this. This is NOT

John, Sorry, I still don't see how this justifies treating members of this board with such disrespect. Nor do I see how this justifies the need to slam anyone who questions or disagrees with what you post. Your concerns and beliefs are yours, not everyone is going to see it the same way. Many of your response posts read like you think that we as readers are supposed to be little sheep and t

John, Okay, I'm trying to understasnd so I re-read this post and all the others that you mention psychopaths. Now I think I get where you’re coming from, but please help me clarify the cycle of logic. You’re saying that no matter what we do scientifically half the people won’t like half the people, so it’s not worth trying to get along or respect them. You’re saying that the

Are you saying anyone who disagrees with you is a phychopath? There are no psychopaths posting here, and averyone here respect. Why is this such a hard concept for you to understand?

If 100% of the people respect 100% of the people 100% of the time, then 100% of the people get along 100% of the time. It’s that simple, no division needed. We could all respect that everyone has the right to post whatever they wish to share with us, providing it is within the forum guidelines. We could all Respect that people have differing opinions and that diversity of opinions is good

Are you are so convinced that what were are told is the only explaination for that smell that you can't have a civil discussion, acknowledge a point, or answer a simple question politly? How old are you anyway? As a side issue, I'd ask you what you think about earthquakes happening up everywhere there is fracking. But you'll just ignore my question as you have all the rest or try to insult me

Interesting...all very good points (well, except number 5.) The fish die-off is an annual thing in the Salton sea. It does smell like sulfur. The area is famous for it this time of year. The winter rains and spring run off fills the sea, the summer heat evaporates the water. As the water evaporates, the sea gets smaller, and thousands upon thousands of fish get stranded and die. I live i

I've lived here for over 35 years and know the geography, geological history, and weather very well. I've owned land, and spent a lot of time in the area between San Diego and the Salton Sea, and I've smelled that fish die-off as far west as Anza Berrego before. Why do you think it is caused by HAARP? Pleaase expalin how it could have any connection? Why do think it is impossible for a sme

Or, it could be a usual late summer Salton Sea evaporation die-off combined with a big storm, and some unusual winds. I've been near the Salton sea this time of year, it's wicked! Hard to imagine the smell carried that far west, but I guess it did with the help of the storm.

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of woking with engineers, physicists, medical doctors, and researchers with multiple PHDs in multiple disiplines. They are all very smart people, and all boast of their inteligence. I think that's a good healthy thing. They all also knew that along with advanced intelligence, comes advanced resposiblility to use it in a matter that will build socciety up

Chemical engineering anyone? I always thought it was a catch-all industry term to cover a whole bunch of different chemical compounds used in various food, cleaners, and cosmetic production processes...but... defines it as: Any of various double sulfates of a trivalent metal such as aluminum, chromium, or iron and a univalent metal such as potassium or sodium, especially hydrous aluminum
