I think I might have a bit of this. It has became a bit of the focus of my life recently, despite having a 2-year old child and being pregnant. I do feel better in this diet however and I am only looking to feel better day-to-day. Of course, without causing any harm to myself in the long term. I also do believe it will help me avoid a family history of cancer... Ok, might go to bed now and sto

I know about fitday. That's how I know that the amount of sesame to be consumed to get enough calcium out of it is actually QUITE big. Same with the lettuce and fruits... unless you eat several pounds of lettuce every day!

Hi all I read that a lot of you are fruitarians. Some of you eat an enourmous amount of greens every day (which seems to be one of the most popular choices) while others eat only until a certain hour of the day, say 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, whatever. In any case the general advice seems to be to limit quite a bit the amount of fats that you take in in any one day. So now, my question is, how do you

Just to clarify, this is Dr Douglas Graham's diet I am talking about. By the way I have now been for a week eating two meals a day based on fruit and vegetables and some dressings only and I feel a lot better. But also scared about how some people have fallen ill with this raw diet thing etc. Anyway thanks again.

Ok, so I am new to this and still researching it. Came across a blog where they claim that a lot of raw-foodists eat a diet very high in fats and that the best diet (of course everyone claims their diet is the best) is the seemingly called 80/10/10 diet where fats like nuts and seed and dehydrated and gourmet raw foods play little or no part on and you basically eat fruit and veggies (sounds awfu

Hi guys Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. That is exactly what I wanted to know. Utopian life, I realize this is a vegan forum, the can of tuna example wasn't a very good one. In actual fact I eat very little fish and meat but I confess to be too selfish to give it up completely, as I like it a lot. But they're actual tiny amounts and I'm not making excuses, really. In any

Hi guys I am new to this but find it very interesting and have started to try to follow an aproximately 50% raw food diet. I now I will not be able to do any more than that, for several personal reasons plus I lack the motivation and the commitment. I have several questions, probably silly ones: - Is it true that if I go for raw I should make a meal completely raw "to avoid the dig

Hi guys I am new to this and would like to ask you a few questions. I am going to try to follow a 50% raw food diet. I don't think I am able to go more than that for several reasons, including being pregnant. I have millions of questions but lets start with a couple. I hear to eat lentils I should let them steep in water until soft. They can then be eaten, right? Any other foods that can be ea
