That Ronnie is actually a policeman... How hypocritical that he must be sending stoners away for doing drugs while he's the biggest druggy of them all.

Agreed Arugula...While meditation is controversial, math is well documented to increase your brain size like weight training increases muscle size. I still obviously believe very much in meditation, it's just that math will greatly help it.

I agree baltochef, that would be most interesting. Also boxer and Mixed Martial Artists because they need strength per LBS of bodyweight and very fast reactions. Athletes are the first people to try new things to improve their performance. Whenever there's an article in the paper about a new kind of performance enhancing drug, the scientist is inundated with athletes wanting to get their ha

It would be an interesting experiment however, if you gave a potentially great body builder a diet of pure raw fruit/veg but over 5,000 calories of it (if possible) and an average amount of steroids which bodybuilders use and see if he grows like a bodybuilder or will simply tone up.

Swimmer, that article on psoriasis points towards to an auto-immune reaction. This is exactly what happens in alergies, the food provokes an auto immune response.

The yogis have pretty well managed to mystify meditation by mixing it with stupid promises of becoming godmen. Yet mathematicians routinely increase the density of their brains through their line of work without making a fuss about it. The old philosophers of the west were all great mathematicians, paraselsus, John Dee, Newton (the alchemist), pythagoras and even the philosophers of the Mid

Although, I do have more energy in some ways, I am still lacking energy and motivation...I remember when I was 15, I completely lost a ton of energy, I stopped going to school because of it... I want to know how long it takes for a raw foodist to get some of this energy back...I know that when I slip up and eat cooked, I get a ton of energy and motivation back so I know it's there... A lot

After going raw, I've noticed a lot of dreams where I am building things, on building sites or using or creating things of high technology... I get dreams of weird inventions like these... Also I get dreams of extremely high technologies, like in Star Wars... Most of the time, it's more mundane like being in the middle of a building site where people are working... Perhaps these a

Yes, I tend to lose over a pound a day maybe even a pound and a half but I gained it back quite quickly...Your intestines will feel very empty and your breathing will change to slow and deep. In a 21 day fast, you won't be a skeleton or anything, people will only notice because your stomache is really flat and that you will automatically be trying to conserve energy in your every move, this se

I've fasted since I was 16, I'm 25 now...I don't know why I started, I just like to test myself I guess I've done two 28 day fasts over 4 ten day fasts and then innumerable shorter fasts... I remember at the start of my first 10 day fast, I went insane I was in total control of my body but out of control of my mind. I was completely and utterly obsessed with food, I literally was thinking a

Bird, that's a great reply. I think that meditation also improves digestion. If you look at the old yoga sutras, they talked a lot about digestion and digestive heat...These yogis ate a pretty crappy diet though, which is good news for us in a way. Our intestines are chemically very close to our brains. This is why the taoists called the gut the second brain. You get instinct from your g

A lot of people on the raw food diet like to meditate... I'm curious to see the roots of it...Is it the hippy/newage aspect? Is it because of living healthily has naturally brought people to meditation? What you experienced with raw food and meditation? Very interested to see your replies!

I found the best half way point was to eat gluten free for a few months...I got quite strong detox reactions from this, I even ate pretty badly...I ate like a portion of chips (fries to americans) a day with gluten free muffins, crisps (chips to americans) and I even drank lots of goats milk. After I got over this detox reaction I was able to be raw so much easier. Also if I were to 'do it aga
