Hello, all, Another fine weekend is upon us, and as I finshed practicing Yoga this morning, I wondered, "when do they practice?" So, I thought I'd write to all of you here and ask, what time of day do you practice? I practice the sun salutation along with a few other favorite (difficult for me) postures in the morning; if I feel stressed or out-of-balance, I'll practice in the e

Post preg. boobs... Now here's an interesting subject. I've dated often in my life, and I gotta write that it didn't seem to matter to me if the woman was fat, skinny, or not real attractive because what always got me were a few things: 1, Eyes. Can they look at me when we're talking, and if so, do I get drawn in? 2, as odd as it may seem, if she doesn't have a personality... Well, the best

The kids I have in my home (2, 3, & 4 years of age -all foster children) are probably 75% raw. What have I noticed? 1. Bad behavior is nearly gone. 2. Bowel movements are really good -they came constipated, dirty wear only pajamas and no shoes. 3. They seem to sleep deeper. Why is this beneficial? Well, when they came, they rarely made it through the evening without waking up. Now wh

Hmm... No bananas, dates, kiwi........... I try to include what I can, and if it doesn't work for me in food preparation, then I don't use it. I often eat bananas with oranes and pineapples for breakfast. Just the other day, I took the little darlings down to the Co-Op and we had Pineapples, mangos, tangelos, nut and water for breakfast. I'm not sure why he suggests not to use bananas, pi

Hello, all, Being that it's all about me, mine, more -ha, ha-, I would have liked to have seen more food prep. Also, Storm said he has a home-based business... He has one heck of a nice home in the mountains -Oh, and by the way, which state are they in? I know he said they were in the "high desert mountains." Thanks for posting a link to their raw-cumentary. Arilraw

Hello, all, The recipe came from this site! On the first page of this site, on the right hand side, look under "recipes". Click on it and then scrol down to "Desserts". It's the first recipe. It took about one half of an hour to make; I let it chill in the fridge for about 8 hours (I made it in the morning, and we had it for dessert in that evening). What woul

Smelling raw? Hmm. The women I run with tell me I smell like garlic, onion, bananas and oranges. The garlic and onion I'm sure is on me from the prior night's salsa; I usually eat bananas and oranges in the morning. Maybe I'll try to post a pic too. Thanks, Arilraw

Good afternoon, all, The little darlings and I walked down to the local Co-Op today, and after we had a breakfast of pineapple and raw Brazilian nuts and water, we bought everthing we needed to make a raw apple pie for this evening's desert. I will try to post a picture of it this evening before we eat it. Have a fine weekend, everyone. Thanks, Arilraw

I mentioned that about 10 days ago, I believe. Elaborate? Not sure that I can on this board; suffice it to say that it's more intense as well as more intimately emotional. Duration has certainly increased, but raw foods combined with yoga have also lengthened more than just duration. Thanks, Arilraw

Hello, El, Swim: .5 miles. Run: 2 - 5 miles. Bike: 10 miles. The above reflects that I'm in good sprint-triathlon condition, but I'll need to add about 2 miles to the swim, 20 miles to the run and a bunch of miles to the bike. That'll not happen overnight. Now, how am I going to do this, run my business and take care of my parents? Excellent time management, prayer and meditation. I

El-NatuRal, Yeah, chlorinated water isn't my first choice, but other than Smith Mountain Lake which is currenty in the mid 50s... well the pool is the warmest as well as closest choice I have. A recumbant, hey? That's takes talent to ride! I've heard it takes a few spills before ya really get it. Thanks, Arilraw

Hello, all, Ok, anyone do'em? Today, at the pool, I met the guy I've wanted to speak with for sometime regarding the Iron Man in Hawaii. Long story short? I'll be swimming with him and others M-F from 9:30am to 10:30am. I had told him that until I hit my stroke, I get board swimming. He watched my stroke for half an hour; when I was done, he said I had a good stroke and that he'd see me

Hello! I simply where a pair of white ankle running socks, khakis, a t-shirt and a hooded sweat shirt. I turn the heat up a bit in the evening and turn it off during the day. Does the sun's beams come through any of your windows and hit the floor? If so, I sit in that spot. Thanks, Arilraw

Rawguy, This is what has worked for me -it's an alternative. When I contract the flu, I only consume water (no food), run, hit the sauna, sweat, shower, return home, and then sleep; next day I'm well. You mentioned women. Have you ever thought of... well detoxing yourself from them? FEW choose to do the above. I took a year off of dating a few years ago; I can tell you that when I

Hello! I've thought a bit about your question... So let's take a look at how much salt is in an avocado. 4mg salt/100mg avocado. What's that say? For every 100mg of avocado that you eat, you also eat 4mg of salt. Is that alot? In comparison to an apple of 1mg of salt/100mg of apple, I'd say no. This question also made me reflect on just how many avocados I eat/week. I bet ya I'll e

Ell-NatuRal, Yes, I've competed in what are called sprint triathlons: .5 mile swin, 3.5 mile run and a 10 or so mile bike. The last two I've trained for I was not able to compete in as I had either hurt my left leg or I was in a car accident. The first one that I competed in I came in second. I've started to train for the spring triathlon at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. I started ear

Hmm. Seems to me that whether I'm healthy or not, I'm going to wear a bio suit when working with anthrax. Here, I have an invitation for you. Consider it a proof test. If you truly believe, I mean, really, really, really believe that a given virus will not harm you because you're on a great 100% clean, raw, organic, sun diet, then hop on a plane to Africa, hit the Ebola hot spot, and tak

Hello, Know that I write this with compassion. Ok, does his comfort zone include having his neck, throat and chest cut and cracked open? Such a question is usually posed to folks who complain when they're faced with a plant based diet. They call the diet "radical"; they don't seem to use the word "radical" though when they're scheduled for open heart surgery. Were I y

Ah, calories. 1Kcal (=1000 calories) is the amount of heat/energy it takes to burn off one (K=1000) calorie. It is a measure of the metabolic rate. For example, If you run for .5 hours, you'll burn a bunch of calories (Kcals). So, to burn off the apple you just ate, you'll need to run for x amount of minutes to burn of those 90 calories (Kcal) of apple. How? You just increased your metabo
