Sometimes I juice fruit in my mouth, most especially oranges, tangerines, and watermelon. It is not something I decide to do with my mind or intellect. It's just something my body seems to do on its' own. When it happens it seems to be the perfect thing and no problems and no big deal either way. Love, Julie

You girls are great! I am loving this thread. Yeah, we live and learn. It took me a while to figure this out, but now if I am ever wanting something not sweet, I get some tomatoes and a lemon and have tomatoes with lemon juice. They have to be really good quality tomatoes, but that does the trick for me. I still have some suspicions about tomatoes not being the best thing to eat, but th

Hey yeah, FruitGirl! I loved 'em, too! I loved all fruity sugary candy and popsicles. See, we had the correct knowing and in our desperation did the best we could. Now we're on the right track, for sure! Thank goodness! Yes, still yoga + ballet! And I'm glad to hear you're still loving the food of angels. . .me, too! Love you, Julie

That is interesting, Gosia, about the cravings. . . For me, the first and main craving that fell away was for sugar. I used to be a major sugaraholic! But as soon as I started getting a steady supply of fruit sugar, no fakey sugary dessert or candy was appealing at all. I could not believe it! I'm sure that what my body wanted all along was the fruit. Very cool! Love, Julie

Dear Gosia, I love the way you are so honest. And I agree completely with your reasoning: Chocolate is toxic, so why poison my friends? Love it! I feel the same way. . . Love, Julie

I remember hearing something that I like and think is true: If you maintain or gain weight on a fruit diet, you are healthy. If you lose weight on a fruit diet, you are becoming healthy. Love, Julie

Sweet ripe fruit is the most delicious food on the planet to correctly pure taste buds. . . PLUS I look and feel amazing. . . AND I now have a healthy and correct fear of all cooked and processed food because of the nightmarish misery it caused me. Love, Julie

Hi, Lorretta. . . I remember the exact same thing happened to me when I went fruity. It was so surprising and weird because, like you, I was never an angry person. I started to notice it would happen like say the day before my body would have a major elimination, so I think it was gathering gunk to get rid of. In fact, I started to believe and understand that it was caused mainly by salt

This is a great thread! Gosia, I know those grapes you are talking about. Here in the States they are called muscadines and they are dark purple and come into season at the end of the summer. I love 'em, too, and when I see them available I get so excited. Wow. They are super sweet and "minerally" and I can live on them! They are way better than a grape Nehi! Ha, ha. Yesterd

Hi, Uma. . . Great post! My experiences are identical to yours. And also, I find that if I receive what I think of as a "good sugar hit" then I am totally satisfied. If the fruit is really ripe and sweet, then I feel like I am getting what I need. It's like it is the perfect key that fits in the lock. If we were able to eat tropical fruit right off the trees, that, in my mind,

Interesting thread, sgc. . . There is a book called Glimpses of Reality, by Benito de Donno. He is a long-time fruitarian and he says that we really need very little food, and then only fruit, to operate. We get a lot of Prana from air and from sunlight. He says he eats only once a day, a few pieces of fruit, in the evening. I find that my experience is like yours, sgc. Lately, I am n

I am definitely a mono person. That's how I preferred to eat when I was a child and, thank goodness, now I give myself permission to eat the way I want, which is one thing at a time. Right now valencia oranges are in and it is so easy to make a meal of oranges. It's a beautiful thing because each one tastes unique. One might be more sugary, another more orangey, another more spicey or sweet

Uma, You are writing some rockin' posts! I love what you wrote about the physical body and "looks." I think that we are here to perfect ourselves, and that includes the physical body. And once you understand and realize that, you can appreciate how all the things we do to "work" at perfecting the body are actually very pleasurable: eating fruit, walking, swimming, yog

Excellent posts, Uma! Thank you very much. It seems that we probably don't need as much food as we've been led to believe. I now wait to eat each day until I'm really hungry and that is often late afternoon or evening. Some days I am barely hungry at all. A great book that presents this theory is Glimpses of Reality by Benito de Donno. He has been a fruitarian for over 10 years and eats

Beautiful Nadia. . . I eat so much sweet fruit that I have no thoughts or desires for concentrated sweeteners. To me, everything else is just a poor substitute for fruit. Honey is a food for bees, not for humans. Fruit is the food for humans. Love, Julie

Wow. Thanks for all that info, Uti! I spent time around Uvita, on the southern Pacific coast. I went there with Doug Graham and a few others and it was an awesome time! The fruit was amazing. I love Costa Rica. It is a fruit lover's paradise, for sure. The air smells like perfume and everything is beautiful. I know you will love it there. Thank you for asking about my kitty, Sophie.

Favorite fruits: watermelon, sweet oranges, muscadine grapes Hmmm. . . . . I also love papaya, mamey, passionfruit, honeydew, mangoes off the tree, and fresh dates. I love white sapote. It tastes like a delicate sugar cube to me. Pure, creamy, white. Great thread, Yogamama! Love, Julie

Tashi. . . I am guessing that you have a fairly clean system and, therefore, anything not optimal is bothering you. And the chili powder and nuts and tahini and oil and greens are harsh and not optimal. That combination would make me feel sick, too. Instead of something extreme like a fast, I would suggest you try just simple sweet fruits for a while. I find them to be very soothing an

The solution, Kenji, is fruit. Eat all the fruit you want, as much as you want, any time you want. Over time, things will settle down as your body adjusts to the lighter food and you won't need as much as you do at the beginning. No need to limit yourself. This is a world of abundance! Love, Julie

Dear Jamie, Please reread your own post. You feel gross and depressed the next day. Why would you want to do that to yourself? You deserve better! How about some fresh grape juice? It will give you a true, healthy high! Love, Julie

Bless your heart. I would go with lots of rest and sleep, and all the oranges and orange juice I wanted. Since you're already down for the count, you can use this time to really rest and heal in lots of ways and purify your body with oranges. You will feel amazing afterwards! Hang in there. . . Love, Julie
