Yesterday I posted my concern about my parotid glands on Dr. Graham's forum. He asked me if I could post photos and my current diet. After telling him my menu, he asked me if I had my tonsils removed. He hasn't seen the photo yet. Then I took a pic of my face and posted it there. Here is the photo of my parotid glands. Excuse the quality / lighting - I took the pic in the bathroom, in the mirror.

Guys, I need your opinion on this This evening something weird and very scary happened to me. I came back from church feeling peaceful and happy. While preparing my dressing for the zoodles, I suddenly started to feel my heart beating really loud and really fast, I could feel it and hear it like coming out of my chest, while I was feeling dizzy, like I was about to faint. I sipped on water an

Update. 1) Yesterday I had an X-ray for my hips (front and side). The result (as I understand it) shows that I have osteoarthritis in my right hip too. I knew that in time it would become bilateral, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon, after only 3 years. Looks like my disease progresses fast. Also, I have a 14 mm hypertransparent lesion in my right hip bone, my left leg is shorter, the r

Thank you so much, SueZ. I didn't know about the effect of biopsy, the doctors told me it's something easy to do, they didn't say anything about such effects. I would never do that biopsy anyway, I'm too scared of it. From what I know, I have composite white fillings, the ones you put layer after layer, and dry / harden each layer with that lamp. I hope there is no mercury in those layers.

I had the blood work for the specific tests for autoimmune diseases, I'm waiting for the results this week or next week. Today I had an ultrasound of the parotid glands, salivary glands, other lymph nodes and the thyroid. The doctor was amazing, so wonderful and kind, and well prepared profesionally, she totally agreed with my raw vegan diet and she made some interesting remarks. The ultra

Another update. My menu: - apples - oranges - apple juice (and the apple pulp) - zoodles with tomato dill sauce, next to salads made of 1 large head of butter lettuce, 1 English cucumber, light green capsicums / bell peppers, 1 bunch of fresh dill, the juice of 4 small lemons (I had this dinner almost everyday, I was craving it - I bought 2 large yellow plastic bowls especially for my di

Another update. Today I had the immunology doctor appointment to check my lymph nodes and she said I may have the Sjögren syndrome, an autoimmune disease. She suggested some specific blood tests to see if her suspicion is true. She said I could take medication to help reduce the parotid glands, but she wants to see the test results first. I told her I'm vegan and I don't like to take medicati

autumn-vegan I've been using the carrot pulp in my sauce for the zucchini spaghetti, a sauce made with tomatoes, fresh dill, bell peppers or capsicums, the zucchini core and the carrot pulp. I also mixed the carrot pulp in my salads. When I last made the carrot juice, I gave the carrot pulp (from juicing 3 kg of carrots) to my mother-in-law to use, and she put most of it in the freezer. I

Update. After seeing that I still had swollen lymph nodes (my husband kept telling me this, and I saw this in the mirror too), I had a doctor appointment to check my lymph nodes and she said I have hypertrophy of parotid glands on both sides. From what I understood, the teeth issues could be a cause as well (a possible infection). She sent me to an allergy / immunology doctor. I have the appoi

Yesterday I got great advice from someone I really trust to take at least 5000 IU/day of vitamin D, and in my case, even 8000 IU/day. So today I started taking 8000 IU vitamin D2, I took 4000 IU so far, I'll take the other 4000 IU in the second part of the day. Since I'm taking the powder from the caps sublingually, I took the powder from each cap one by one, so that it dissolves quickly, plus

I just checked my results online and I got the vitamin D result. I'm still deficient, it's <5.0 ng/l (the range is 12 ng/ml for deficient, 12-20 ng/ml for insuficient and >20-160 for suficient). This month I started to take the new vitamin D supplement, it has only D2 (I finally finished that vitamin D2 + Calcium supplement I first bought). The recommended dose is 2 capsules/day, each c

I'm almost on the end of week 1 of treatment, it's been so great so far, like I go to a spa Everyone is so kind there, there is music and the atmosphere is so positive This week I got my blood work done, free of charge through the health insurance, I only paid for 2 additional tests that were needed in order to make a certain test, and I also paid for vitamin B12 and vitamin D (these two

Hey guys I haven't posted here in a while. I decided to take some time for myself, I didn't feel like posting or getting too involved in Facebook and forums. So I've been focusing on my diet, I spent a lot of time watching Youtube and inspiring Instagram accounts - I even found some zoodle lovers Regarding my diet, I got over my cooked food cravings by adding more raw veggies. I started

Yes, La_Veronique, those soups are refreshing, and the zucchini makes the soup creamier. The "zoodle" name isn't my invention, I picked it up from Youtube, if I remember correctly it was from TannyRaw (spiralized zucchinis) (she also makes "coodles", which are cucumber noodles - spiralized cucumbers). But I could've also picked it up from others, it's a well-known name for

Remember that you can be 100% raw vegan, but only if you really want this. Think about the amazing benefits you will feel and that your body will thank you for it, you will lose all the excess weight easily while eating raw fruits and veggies. Also, read a lot about the animal abuse and cruelty in slaughterhouses and I'm sure you will never eat chicken (or any other animal products) again. On

Update. How has this Christmas been for you? I had a weird Christmas. My body just refused eating fruits and veggies, like rejecting the food. I've experienced lack of hunger, I've been nauseated almost all the time, everytime I looked at my oranges and apples I just could't bring myself to eat them, and I have loads of them in my room (even the smell of oranges just put me off). I star

Thank you, Gosia. Organic 1, I have to eat this way, otherwise I get pain. I'm not only eating sweet fruits, I'm also eating non-sweet fruits, plus I'm going to make carrot juices and butter lettuce juices. I don't want to take the chance and get another gallbladder attack by eating foods that irritate my gallbladder. I know about the issue of not eating fats which could cause a lazy gallbl

A raw veggie soup I liked to make was: blend tomatoes (I always used peeled tomatoes) with fresh dill. Pour in your soup bowl or food container. Then add to the bowl zucchini noodles, diced cucumbers, diced bell peppers, small cauliflower florets. After recently juicing carrots and using the carrot pulp in my sauce for the zoodles, and discovering my taste for raw dried thyme, I would also add

La Veronique, thank you for your concern and kind wishes. This was the second gallbladder attack, caused by eating a lot of my raw salt-free sauerkraut (I ate around 700 g). The doctor told me not to eat cabbage and cauliflower, and veggies hard to digest, but obviously I didn't listen. The first attack was in March this year, caused by drinking 400 ml spinach juice. I wrote the whole story

Update after my gallbladder attack which occurred on November 24, 2015, and it lasted from noon to around 1 - 1:30 pm. The nwhole story is in the specific thread here: I feel slightly better today, but still kind of weak. On Friday I actually had 3 meals, but smaller ones and it took long to eat each one as I need to eat slow and chew very well. Right now I'm constantly worrying that the pain

Update. I feel slightly better today, but still kind of weak. On Friday I actually had 3 meals, but smaller ones and it took long to eat each one as I need to eat slow and chew very well. Right now I'm constantly worrying that the pain could come back all of a sudden after one bite. But I try to stay calm, not stress about it and hope for the better. On Friday I had a breakfast of 14 clemen

My recent menu (following my gallbladder attack): - apples - grapes - citrus (oranges, mandarins, clementines) - cherry tomatoes - tomatoes - cucumbers - capsicums - today I'm attempting to make some zoodles again (my usual recipe - so I need to make carrot juice for my carrot pulp that goes into the sauce) - lots of water (usually 3 liters/day, but 4 liters recently to help expelling t

Thank you so much, Gosia, I'm better now, the detox is almost over if not completely over, those lymph nodes seem to be normal now. However, I've been through major gallbladder crisis, as I mentioned in my other thread But now I'm recovering from it, staying at home, eating small meals throughout the day (mostly sweet and non-sweet fruits) and drinking lots of water. I'm taking things day

Long update. Today I had my general ultrasound (abdominal and pelvic, all the organs in these areas). I haven’t eaten and drunk since yesterday at midnight and my first meal today was around 3:30 pm. So I went on an empty stomach for my ultrasound. The doctor checked everything (the same doctor I went to the first time, after the first attack). Everything is fine. She checked the previous r

Regarding my hip, strangely enough it has been rather ok, not bothering me much, I no longer had huge pain or at least a very noticeable pain that would be so annoying. However, I now feel it a bit more, maybe due to my gallbladder attack that I mentioned in my other thread. What's your iodine source? What algae source do you have? I avoided algae for many reasons: being contaminated with meta

Yesterday I ate some sauerkraut (the one I made, raw, salt-free) mixed with chopped tomatoes (and I ate a lot of sauerkraut) and this morning I had an absolutely huge gallbladder attack that caused me the worst pain ever (worst than going into labour, as they say, and it's so true and so much more than this). It's the second attack this year (as you know, the first one was in March after too much

Thank you all for your concerns and advice. Last year I got tested for B12, which was on the lower side, and for vitamin D, which was severely low. I took vegan sublingual B12, 2 bottles of 30 pills each, and each pill had 5000 mcg. I'll order some B12 soon. I also took vitamin D2 (I still have like 50 caps to take). I know D2 is not that efficient, but I don't want to take regular D3. And I don
