I wouldn't soak them for a month, I would apply it and then let them sit for a month to represent shipping time and time spent on the shelf.

At least they don't have a central nervous system, but like they demonstrated on Mythbusters, they are aware of what we are doing: They also did "mental attacks" from outside the room the plant was in. They imagined it burning up, and being hit and the polygraph responded, so the plant was aware of what they were doing. But how does this happen when the plants don't have a brai

Poor kid, was it Von Willebrand's disease, that is often treated with birth control pills? That is a complication of blood clotting: "The various types of Von Willebrand's disease present with varying degrees of bleeding tendency, usually in the form of easy bruising, nosebleeds and bleeding gums. Women may experience heavy menstrual periods and blood loss during childbirth."

Be your own guru. Chuck the books, if they are a hang up for you and go into the prouce section and see what you want to eat. If you can think of a better way to eat than raw food, I'd love to hear it.

I cut my B12 into 1/4th too, and divide it up among my family! Another related question: when should one take B12, in the morning or night and on an empty stomach or not?

So insecticides are a way for the military industry to make money during peactime. Well, it's better than creating a war during peactime just to sell weapons but it's still awfull - and the farmers buy it. It's a sickness.

I should probably add this snip from the link: "But niacin can be a bitter pill; in rare instances, the vitamin can cause liver damage and can impair the body’s use of glucose. High doses should be taken only under a doctor’s supervision."

Lauric acid from tropical oils and B3 (niacin) But for patients now at high risk of heart attack or stroke, the news is better than it sounds. An effective HDL booster already exists. It is niacin, the ordinary B vitamin. In its therapeutic form, nicotinic acid, niacin can increase HDL as much as 35 percent when taken in high doses, usually about 2,000 milligrams per day. I went all summer without getting sick and got it last week. In this era of anti-biotics creating super-strong bugs, I wonder if raw is really a guarantee against getting sick, especially if you have close contact with school children or work in a hospital.

I read that the French are more into quality rather than quantity and relaxing while eating: The French are very particular about what they eat. Their diet contains all fresh whole foods and avoids processed foods, junk foods, and sugary drinks. Back-to-basics, natural food is the key. When cooking for themselves or friends, the French go to great lengths to seek out the best produce and i

Those animals got their nutrients from plants, if we eat the animals then we are still getting those nutrients from plants but they've gone through an animal first. So why not just get them first-hand from plants. B12 is a bacteria and the animals don't "produce" it, I mean it's not like they have a B12 gland that secretes B12. I supplement B12 every so often, it's no big deal.

The thread "The Orthorexia Worry" has links to the 20/20 show so you can watch it. The peice gave raw alot of air time, so some people are going to see that piece and Google raw. I DO think that some people take raw too far and get skinny, but that's only like 1-2% of raw people. I'd swear that was Narz I saw early in the second half?

Every day, especially since I usually forgo the deodorant unless it's vital. Our skin is such a major organ of elimination that the other day I was reading that during the middle ages, the doctors would use the skin to detoxify people with renal failure. If you don't shower aren't those toxins all absorbed back in?

It's easiest way to go raw is on an empty stomach, so starting off raw for breakfast and then seeing how far into the day you can go raw is the easiest way IMHO. I don't think you have to go 100% right away, you'll experience rawfood burn-out. As far as calories, use a online calculator if you concerned, but unless you are just eating vegetables, it's not really that hard to get calories on ra
