Ian, Yes, a power blender makes all the difference in the world. I make sauces, creams and even raw ice cream in my blender. Everything comes out beautiful. My Mum loves it so much that she is thinking about getting one for herself but I will probably surprise her and buy her one cause, after all, she's MoM and has sacrifised so much for me so the least I can do is give back a little to her.

kathyz, Kombucha Tea is believed to be the longness of life drink. In otherwords, because it helps you with digestion that basically means that your body doesn't need to worry about such things on it's own. Kombucha is a very healthy drink but, after buying the full kit from the happy herbalist, I'd rather make it myself. This way it's not bottled and is completely fresh everytime I drink it.

Yes, I brew kombucha with rooibos tea all the time. If you go to <www.happyherbalist.com> you will see that one of the kits that they sell is a caffeine-free option and rooibos tea is the one that comes with the kit. You can also brew it with peppermint or peppermint/lemon verbena or rooibos/lemon verbena for an interesting kick. Cheers,

You won't find Acai in the U.S. because it requires a special, tropical climate. It is a fruit of the rainforest and needs the perfect balance between rain, or moisture, and humidity to flourish. It would be very difficult for anyone to actually grow this fruit over here except under ideal conditions; which we don't have. Cheers,

Luna, Neem Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Oil of Oregano are the big three for dogs, from what I've read. Supposedly tea tree oil is quite toxic to cats and, ironically, is used in cat shampoos and flea and tick repellents. Although I've read that some cats do ok with it and some cats don't. They just can't take any of the three aforementioned oils internally or externally. However, dogs can, but it li

Luna, I just learned on holisticat.com that oil of oregano is not considered safe for cats when applied topically. I know it's ok for dogs in small doses to digest as is neem oil. Both are powerful for ridding dogs of fleas and ticks. I will keep searching for more info and post as soon as I find something that will be more specific. Peace,

Hey Folks, Now I'm truly convince of the power of Oil of Oregano. The last five days of the cleanse for the first 30 days you're supposed to discontinue using the Paranil and the Kleri Tea. I did, but I continued to use the Oil of Oregano. Whatdya know? More black eggs came out. Funny, but my stool, although very gelly like, contained about 50 or more and a lot of them were floating on the wat

djatchi, I would think the closest thing to cleaning out the gunk would the The Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs. The whole book is available online in adobe pdf. Do a search for the master cleanse.pdf and you will find a downloadable link. You will need to have adobe reader installed so, if you don't have it, go to and get the free reader. Peace,

Sodoff, One question for you. Did you buy a ktec champ hp3 or a blendtec total blender? Also, who did you buy it from? My ktec is far from flimsy and is certainly not light. It doesn't take a crane to lift it but it rawks! Blenders don't have to weigh a ton to do the job. They just have to have the power and technology. Peace,

Ian, I know that you want to label the ktec as 2hp but the jury is still out on this. It is labeled as 3hp and I consider it to be just that. When that blender hits the higher speeds it shows double the ferocity and power of the last model vitamix, which I believe if the vitamix 5300. Contact blendtec and they will tell you that, with blenders, horsepower is measured differently. Call vitamix and

Yes, oil of oregano can be given to dogs and cats in small doses. Do a search on the web for is oil of oregano safe for animals. You will have to week through a few sites but, based on what I've read, it's comletely safe administered in small doses and for short periods of time. It will expel worms and clean their system out. Peace,

Run, Exactly what is your diet comprised of? Second, how much water do you consume? Most folks that are raw don't consume enough water and therefore the toxins aren't flushed out of the body properly. Also, do you exercise? If so, what type and how much? Have you done any internal cleansing like colonics, Dr. Flora, etc? If so, how often and when was the last time? I will wait for your resp

I don't do honey as I'm vegan but I'm very big on sea salt - especially himalyan sea salt and celtic sea salt. Either can be used in the watercure or . May raw foodists think that they get enough water from the foods they eat. This is not the truth. Our bodies are comprised of over 60% water. Dr. Batmanghelidj discovered the cure for everything basically when he discovered the watercure. Dehydra

Hey Jeff, Are you trying to go full out Natural Hygiene or going down the raw food path. There are so many wonderful raw dishes to make and enjoy. First thing is to invest in a few good raw uncook books and a few tools. I have a greenstar juicer, Breville Juicer Plus, Ktec Champ Blender, kitchen aid food processor and a good, german slicer. I also have a pickling ceramic barrel for making saue

Friend, you don't have to feel dehydrated to be dehydrated. In fact, when your mouth feels dry the damage has already been done. Check out and learn how to hydrate your body properly. The body needs water to live, to purify and to exist. We can't get all the water we need from fruits and veggies. Our body is comprised of over 60% water. That would require you to eat a lot of veggies and fruit

Yes, absolutely, I have an urban rebounder and I do a 45 minute session and I feel as if every muscle in my body has been worked after just doing the beginners session. They have a nice collection of videos too. If you decide to buy any just make sure you get the ones that have multiple videos on one dvd. It saves a lot of money. JB Berns has really created an awesome workout program with the urb

Hi Jen, This was taken from the page where I buy my wildcrafted oil of oregano. Numerous university studies (Georgetown, Cornell, Tennessee, etc.) and independent research have shown Oregano Oil to be a potent antimicrobial. The ever growing body of evidence is showing Oregano Oil to be useful as an antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal agent rivaling even pharmaceutical antibiotics such

Rawgosia, Now you are putting words into my mouth over and over again. I never insisted but I was strong in pointing out how you could benefit. I didn't put words into your mouth but I did translate that way your thoughts were interpreted by me. Obviously, this is a discussion that you're not happy with. I don't need to check the dictionary. This is a discussion and a lively one at that

Rawgosia, This is a rawfood site and not a natural hygiene site. With all due respect, perhaps you'd be much happier with like-minded people. Very few people on this site are natural hygienists and therefore think differently than you. I am a perfect example. I find it amusing that you would call my discussion an argument. Obviously tells me you see the glass as half empty rather than half fu

Rawgosia, So, in otherwords, what you're saying is that you are walking in a meadow, you see a lovely plant that you body tells you looks apetizing and you reach for it and devour it. Two hours later you are found dead. This happened because you listened to your body but failed to read up on this type of plant which is highly poisonous. Sounds downright silly to me but people do it everyday. I

Personally, I would recommend that you transition to veganism while adding more raw foods. Take your time. You can do this over a few months. Transition to quickly and you will fall back. Just the simple transition to veganism will melt the pounds off. Add some exercise to your day. I hop on my urban rebounder almost daily for overall health and well being. Testimonies from their site have people
