Hi all, I need some advice. I am going to Nepal this summer for a 21 day trek in the Himalayas. I have to admit that part of my motivation is weight loss as all the girls I know who have gone to Asia for an extended period of time, have all lost weight even if they were thin to start with. (I am very thin so calculated weight loss is somewhat difficult). My problem is 1) How do I stay raw

Oh dear?! I HATE fruit! Always have done. Wonder what is wrong with me. I'll eat any vegetable on Earth but fruit is just.... Maybe I am not designed for raw? Maybe I have psychological dependences. Are you sure you enjoy food? Or is it a case of your body preferring food? I can't help but think of my taste buds too!

Ok the fact that some of you are taking breatharians seriously has just made me question this 'cult' I have joined. ARGH! What do I do. Who is right? The only conclusion I can come to is: Ah who cares. As long as I lose weight.

Not really! I like the attention but then I'm an attention whore! Also I know how much extreme raw/veggie people pissed me off with their extremism so I don't really get angry. I like hearing both sides of the story. I am not anti-SAD at all. I just do what I need to do for my ends.

Hmmm. I enjoy eating. I am only cutting back because I want to lose 5kg which is taking forever because I have always been underweight. But once I reach my target, I am going to enjoy increasing my food intake. Don't you enjoy eating?

It is the only fully raw one but this is a link that I found on Vitaorganics website. Most are veggie and some are vegan but maybe they'll do raw Anyway central london is most convenient for me. Shame about Little Earth Cafe. I used to go to yoga at Triyoga all the time but never stopped to eat.

I am on the MC but I look forward to telling you about it at the end of next week! In fact, even if it is rubbish, having someone doing all the blending etc for you will probably be good enough for me

Although I eat a LOT of salads so I suppose that counts as greens even though in my head salads and vegetables are two separate entities.

Also I am thin and the cold just goes right to my bones. But I love my fashion so bundling up is never appealing. I invariably regret it when I go out.

Of course. I HATE English winters but this winter has been so mild. Usually I am semi-suicidal. It is the lack of the sun more than diet I suspect (though of course diet is a good place to start). I don't know what the Scandinavians do. I might get me one of those fake sun SAD machines.

Sometimes this happens. But I got my first white hair when I was 12 (quite the raucus it caused in maths lesson!) and I think it is because I have black hair. Everyone I know with black hair, has some white ones that come and go. It is a pigment thing not an age thing.

Is it just me who doesn't feel bad bingeing on healthy food like quinoa? It makes a change from bingeing on chocolate for me!

Well I have always been underweight naturally. About 54kg at 174cms. I lost a couple of kilos from excercising a HELL of a lot and trying really hard to be strict. It took me a LOT of time to lose that weight. My target weight is 48kg (for modelling. I want to do runway instead of just print work. But as I am designed on the thin side, I don't think it will be too unhealthy). But after fas

Dear lord allmighty!! That is AMAZING. Will you keep us updated about the aftermaths of the fast? As in the next few months. I am particularly interested in how much of the weight you regain and how fast. And I agree with you about dogmatic people. Dogmatic people piss me off and make me dogmatic in my anti-dogmatism. Ugh.

Wow you are lucky that you have a raw restaurant. What results are you looking for? Dont worry if you eat too many nuts etc in the transisiton phase. Hell, I still eat too many nuts! Eat veggies too. They are very filling. I am only raw for a month or so so I remember that phase well. I got a runny tummy but no other problems.

Nonsense! 25lbs is phenomenal! The speed is only worrying depending on how heavy or light you were to start with. I have 10lbs to lose. 5kg. The stubborn final 10lbs.

Something about oven on a low temp being carcinogenic? Not as good as a dehydrator but I can't remember where I read that.

Juicing is fine, blending is better and eating fruit is the best. I hate fruit but I have just got myself in the habit of eating the stuff.

Doctors are usually out of their mind. But in this case, I would rethink the combination. I think fruit should be eaten personally, but even if you blend it, take it separately. Then the body can get rid of it if need be and it will be out of you.

I REALLY need something that will demolish nuts because my Moulinex is a pre-raw purchase and wont even touch the nuts. I mean the L'equip is meant to be good but is still a little on the pricey side... unless my father decides to help and he has been really tight-fisted lately!

Just started that one. Tell me, are the lemons acidic for your teeth? I know in the body, citrus fruits become alkaline, but what about in the mouth? Was on three days of rabenhorst wheatgrass mix. Juice fasts are easy. Why have I spent so much time trying water fasts?
