Hi Suncloud Im still practicing yoga and meditation daily. Its responsible for keeping me slightly sane! The osteopath lent me a wobble board to help strengthen the damaged area. I have been investigating a pilates machine with a mini trampoline attached to the base. The exercises are non weight bearing so it may be an ideal choice for me just now. More expense, but if it works then its wort

Im going to have to buy another juicer to keep at work. I have a Kempo which juices fruit well. Im considering taking the kempo to work and buying a greenstar for use at home. I would quite like to try the greenstar but need to check that its a good fruit juicer before i go along that route. It may be safer to buy another Kempo, which i know will do the job i need it to do. Anyone use the gr

EZ rider Yes, you are right. I have been thinking about buying a bike again. Maybe I will do something about it now! I spend most of my free time walking the dogs, but i need to put myself first here! I just didn't expect the healing to take so long, but it has, so its time to sort it out. Thanks for the the prompt! ffx

Hey Molli, can i get you a bigger stick to beat yourself with? Leave it where it is,in the past! We have all been there, most of us still probably are! Just because people post their responses, does not mean that they all live it themselves! Just let go and move on! Big a hug from me! ffx

Hi suncloud. Great result. Brilliant news about no longer experiencing the side pains. I get hungry if i exclude greens. What sort of trouble were greens giving you? I haven't been able to run for over three months due to an ankle injury. I really miss it. I don't experience those wonderful high energy levels if I'm not able to run. I'm so pleased that you have found positive breakthr

I have a family to cater for. I juice. Make smoothies, eat fresh fruit, veggies, salads and nuts occasionally. I keep it simple. It works for me. Sometimes i get tempted by steamed veggies, but i don't look at the rest of the food that i prepare for them as my food anymore. My family often share salads and smoothies with me and they eat a lot more fresh fruit these days. ffx

Congrats on day 3! Detox throws up many symptoms one of which is often flu like symptoms. High fibre and water to help with elimination of toxins. keeping the bowels moving helps relieve headaches, combine with movement and fresh air. Its also important to balance that with plenty of rest. Treat yourself to a massage. ffx

Hi Frannie Interesting, isn't it? My pup is now just over 7 months, she has just started her first season. She has been totally raw vegan since June 28th, (just over a calendar month) Previous to that she had a diet high in raw fruit and veggies. No blood or discharge so far! I had a suspicion that this would be the case, as her diet does not contain animal products or cooked food.

Does it really matter how a person gets introduced to eating healthy foods? We all started somewhere. One of the people who initially inspired me, in my opinion has now totally lost the plot and falls into the 'fluffier folks' category. Inspiration is often all that a person requires. Its then up to them to do the research and decide how far they want to take it. There is no right w

Hi Tara Thanks for your post. I am also blood type A. I have a friend who is blood type 0. She appears to thrive on her recommended diet. I don't normally have a problem with melon. I don't usually eat that many. I had a small case of them, so some became over ripe. I think that this was the cause of the problem. I have only ever bloated on raw once before, naively combining banana with tah

hellokitty It may help to stop putting negative energy into the situation. just go with the flow. Just try dealing with what comes at you. Try living in the present moment. It really sets you free. The key to this is that the present moment is all that there ever is, so that is the only moment that you EVER have to deal with. The past has gone, you can not change it, the future is not h

Hi luvyuu I looked up the 5 tastes. It is in the 12 steps. VB identifies the 5th taste as spicy. Quite honestly, i believe you are better off not dehydrating. Keeping it simple, as you are, is by far the way forward. Not balancing bitter was one of the challenges I had. My bitter craving was dark bitter chocolate. That took a bit of working with! As regards food combining its the fat and fr

Something else that might help.. Do you have a dehydrator? When i first went raw, I dehydrated veggies, then processed through a coffee grinder. It made an excellent flavouring to sprinkle over salads or add to raw soups. You could try making dressings by blending a variety of veggies, nuts, seeds or fruits to dress salads. ffx

It is generally recognised that there are five primary taste sensations: salty sour sweet bitter umami ( taste associated with protein foods such as meat or Parmesan cheese) As I recall, there is something written in the 12 steps to raw food (Victoria Boutenko) about balancing out taste sensations. ffx

It is interesting. 'The no 'fat' fruitarian concept' Its got a lot to do with your starting point. Emotionally, spiritually and physically. Most of my colleges have challenged me about my eating habits. I have a few pounds to loose. (I have not exercised properly for about 3 months due to an ankle injury) If i wasn't eating raw, i certainly would have put weight on. I walk a couple of m
