Yeah wheatgrass yogi, you are WRONG! All joking aside, you might be harboring some bitterness towards those with different beliefs. The more you know you're right about something, the more you should downplay the fact that the other person is wrong, and that you're even different in any way. Trust comes out of togetherness, and togetherness comes out of our similarities, so when you make

I notice a huge difference, my emotional state seems very flat and controlled. There's much less turmoil in my inner world now. It doesn't make me the life of the party, but it makes me so content and relaxed that I don't have any desire to be.

I soak about half a cup of pumpkin seeds overnight, discard soak water, put in blender with around 4 cups of water, and just let blend until smooth. No straining needed if you've got a decent blender. By the time its nice and smooth though, its usually starting to warm up, so I add a few frozen strawberries to cool it down, and let them blend until there's no trace of chunks. I also add raw honey

Sounds tasty! Sometimes I put shoyu soy sauce on avocado's and... watermelon. I think its just because I like how salt compliments both of those fruits.

Glad to help. Apparently theres a process for making kombucha wine, with a high enough alcohol content to get drunk on, but it involves the addition of champagne yeast. Home brewing it will always lead to variations. Perhaps the kombucha drinkers you're referring to didn't let it brew long enough. The yeast likely converts the sugar to alcohol faster than the bacteria can convert it to vinega

Kombucha is formed from a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast. The yeast consumes the simple sugars and excretes alcohol, then the bacteria consume the alcohol and turn it into various organic acids (vinegar). There will always be some trace amounts of alcohol that haven't been converted to vinegar. Its probably is possible to play with different cultures, brew times, and initial sugar supply

Have you ever taken antibiotics? Digestion problems are terrible I know, but they should heal with time if you can keep your intake of nutrients up, and avoid the things that can compromise healthy digestion (refined foods, antibiotic tainted animal products) I'd suggest taking steps to improve your intestinal microflora. Fermented foods, kombucha tea, and/or a good probiotic supplement (t

When I made the leap to 100% raw I went through a period where I had a lot of muscle soreness and cramps, but they eventually went away completely. I guess all I can recommend is eating as much as you can of the fruit you can handle, and try to work in as much variety as possible. Bananas are great, and I feel bad that you can't eat them! Perhaps try them at different stages of ripeness, your bod

Get him going on green smoothies and milk thistle for sure. I'm not sure what the most effective method of using milk thistle is, but I really enjoy the taste of milk thistle tea, its fairly mild. Perhaps you could make big batches, chill them in the fridge, and use them as a base for smoothies. If you can get him consuming ginger, turmeric, cardamom, ginseng, and reishi mushroom, it certainl

Whatever you do, don't try mustard greens in a smoothie! That was a silly mistake to make, but I wasn't very familiar with the different types of greens at the time. Although if someone has a good recipe for raw mustard greens i'd love to know it.

I've been through this in a previous relationship. When we first got together, I knew a lot about diet and nutrition, but she just loved to cook for me, and I wasn't complaining... until I gained 30lbs. That is when i finally decided to go vegan, and all I heard were complaints that I was too skinny, and that what I was doing was bad for me. Sometimes you just wish you could change peoples mi

I love to share my thoughts on diet, and I've made the mistake of thinking it would be a good conversation starter. But as most people have found out, talking about how you're different is a good way to alienate yourself from a group. However, when I've made friends with a person first, and waited for them to take notice of my obvious habits, they seem more likely to find it admirable or at least
