Banana- I think it might probably be fine, but that's just my personal opinion. And I'm not so familiar with your area, so I'd say go with your gut and do what you feel is best. That's good it was tested for metals at least. Post again after you harvest some, and let me know what you think. I'm so hooked on the stuff I made a promise to myself that it's all I will drink anymore. You're luc

I love my Excalibur. I'm not sure what the model number is, but it is only 4 trays, and was the least expensive, I think. I use it only now and then for kale chips or crackers. Actually, it's been about 2 months now since I've made anything. I've been eating really simply lately. However, I might need to get another batch of chips going now I don't mind the noise at all. White noise is a good

WY- It has taken me 51 years to reach this place of barely knowing anything, really. But thanks for the compliment I believe that we are all learning from each other.

Well, I am absolutely no expert on spring water, but I'll share what I've discovered, both intuitively and via research. As far as I know, spring water, true spring water, that levitates from the earth from the aquifers, is not polluted. It is older than the industrial age, and it has been filtered by the earth itself. Even when it emerges from areas within industrial and developed areas, it i

Hey Banana- Remember, you want to find a SPRING not a well. There's a huge difference. Maybe you could do a little research online and figure out what's happening in your area with the nuclear waste. There has to be a good spring within reason for you to drive to. You don't want well water, though, it's not the same. What I have learned, is that the source of true spring water comes from aquif

Hi Banana- I found two springs that are near me from this website: www.FindaSpring.com And to whomever is going to bash the source, I say... whatever. This is a great resource, and I don't mind whatever else this guy sells or supports- I choose to not let that bother me. His valuable contribution to spreading the word about beautiful, natural, living spring water full of fabulous life-givin

The best water on this planet is natural, living spring water. I drive to a local spring once a week and fill up a bunch of glass bottles for the week. The more bottles I collect, the less frequently I'll have to make the drive. It's really empowering to forage for excellent water. It's free, and there are springs all over. It's definitely worth the research and travel time. Filters are obviou

I only swallow after I've cleaned my teeth directly after eating, not first thing in the morning when my mouth is full of toxins. There is not difference in swallowing coconut with a little neem when it is mixed with the residue of the food I just ate .

70. Re: why
I have a few things to say about this.... First of all, it is good to be informed. I would not want to live in blissful ignorance drinking water from plastic bottles, for example, and continue to undermine my health. I learned about this a while ago, and am glad I did. I'm doing what I can to adjust my lifestyle to avoid it. Also, for me, raw food and green juicing, and this whole lifestyle

I'm in my third month of 100% raw, and have noticed that my gums have been so sensitive lately. I just made some "toothpaste" that feels so awesome, and it is helping my gums and teeth so much. It's a mixture of raw coconut oil, neem seed oil and peppermint essential oil. It is incredibly soothing and healing. I brush with that exclusively now, and sometimes I don't spit out the rinse w

I say forget about all the dogma and the "shoulds" regarding the "right" way to eat, and do what feels right based on the awareness and consciousness available to you right now. My humble opinion is that this planet is extremely toxic- the soil is delpleted, we are bombarded by emf's, the air is spoiled by chemtrails and nuclear fallouts, and our water supply has all sorts of

I believe that truly we are what we eat. What goes into our bodies literally becomes part of us. I also believe that the closer we can get to food in it's pristine form, as close to the earth as possible- which means unprocessed, uncooked foods, the more vital energy we take in. In the 2 months I've been all raw, which isn't much time at all, really, I feel way more peaceful and connected to my s

I am practically living on green smoothies lately. Two a day, alternating the ingredients, with lots of greens. This is a period of deep cleansing for me, and my body is just craving them. Actually I do really like the taste of seaweed, but not in my smoothies

I don't have any b12 issues. I'm just about a month and a half 100% raw vegan, so I'm looking for a good supplement. I have cyancobalamin. I'll use it for now, then I'm switching to a whole food type supplement.

I remember reading a while ago that powdered wheatgrass in the form of pills is made from wheatgrass that is mature, and that they keep cutting the same grass over and over as it regrows to get the material for the tablets. This is vastly different from harvesting the new shoots of young grass that is grown fresh. As the grass regrows it is far less nutrient-dense. I've used the pills a few ye

I've recently heard similar things about the different forms of b12. I understand now that methylcobalamin is far superior and easier to break down and use. This is unfortunate because I have a full bottle of cyancobalamin that I just bought. Oh well.. I'll get the right stuff.

I'm in California, so I can still find real local raw ones sometimes. Other people might have a good online source for you. I'd actually be interested to find that out as well.

one more thought on seaweed... The oceans are pretty polluted these days, so although seaweed is a good source of iodine, and is probably fine in small to moderate amounts for people taking it for maintenance levels of iodine, you could most likely be toxing out your system if you take it in therapeutic amounts to fix a deficiency. Tamukha- Good job on those thyroid levels!! That is awesom

GoneBananas- The only problem is that if you are buying them in a store, they were steamed, and the bin or package still says raw. It's some new pasteurization thing they have to do. You have to go online and hope to find an authentic raw source. Most of those aren't raw either.

ama_gi- Have you looked into zeolite or fulvic acid to chelate the mercury? I don't know much about it, but they are supposed to help detoxify the system and help flush out heavy metals. I've read that zeolite is one of the most powerful negatively charged minerals in nature and acts as a magnet, drawing toxins to it, and has an especially powerful chelating effect, removing heavy metals su

I have been dealing with significant thyroid issues, an involuted goiter to be specific, and have done a lot of research. I am feeling 100% better, and know that what I personally am doing is helping me recover. Nascent iodine, that is in liquid form, more bio-available and not toxic, like other forms in higher doses can be, is what I have found to be best for me. I am taking 100's of times the r

coconana- A raw food diet is detoxifying in itself, and what you may be experiencing is just your body releasing toxins. I'm just getting started with a serious commitment to raw, and now that it has been around a month or so of all raw, I can say from my own experience that I have had a whole array of weird symptoms that come and go. So, it could be that this is just part of the process for y

I don't really know how to make a good cultured food that is teaming with healthy bacteria. My favorite taste wise is kimchee. I've tried making it, and it just seems like it's not really that good. I know it's simple, but I need a little guidance anyway. Can someone give me specific instructions? For example: the best type of cabbage the best probiotic culture (prana, I forgot what you sai

coconana- I have recently come across this form of iodine which I feel is superior to all others. If you decide to supplement, this form will not cause toxicity, as you will only absorb what you need, and your body will not have to break down the other forms most commonly taken, making it much easier on your liver. I'm using it as drops on my skin, and it is super potent. If you apply a few
