Okay... no resources/links/favorite scientists/authors/books... can't say that I'm not disappointed. I have been on and off this forum for over a decade and the one aspect that I enjoy about it is the sharing of resources. Certainly not debates with no substance.

Loeve... I asked Powerlifer to walk us through the digestive system because of the statement that the 'intestinal tract' needed to be acidic. I hoped to give him/her the opportunity to learn the correct information through the process of searching for the data. At the very least to provide a link to data that supports that statement. You can give a man a fish or you can teach a man to fish...

Powerlifer can you walk us through the different pH levels of the digestive process? Starting with the mouth, then stomach, then duodenum, large intestine, and colon? My food combining/digestion knowledge contradicts what you wrote so I would also appreciate a link or two so I can refresh my knowledge. I admit... science has changed a lot over the years and I don't always keep up with it!

You know what... nevermind. I'll just read links that are posted -- whatever the source -- and do my best to ignore interjections that aren't substantiated in some way (links/resources/facts/etc). Peace.

Darn, I was hoping for some links/resources to legitimate sources regarding the 'gate issue. The below statement is very encouraging... where did you read it? (Links/source/etc): "Btw, it was Ken Jennings who called for an investigation and for greater care to be taken in hiring so that things like that did not occur in future. I am not trying to be controversial. I am on a fact-f

Tamukha, Coco... did you listen to the audio tapes from 2000? There is also a transcript of them on the same page if you prefer to read. Tamukha, in your fact-finding mission, the accuracy of the Wiki would be a good place to start: Was there a 'fistgate'? Were three employees of the State Education department fired? Did Abels sue and get reinstated? Was there a hearing with Netherlan

This info is all new to me. I find it unbelievable. So I looked for more info and this is what I found: Info about 'fistgate' The audio recordings are in the right hand column:

And sometimes a good strategy is to simply leave someone's crazy point of view untouched. Sometimes just thinking to yourself... "Okay, I don't get it, don't agree with it, but okay... if it works for them then great for them. I know better!" (Maybe elitist but at least you aren't spending your energy trying to convince a crazy person otherwise. *LOL*)

I could write a novel about my confrontations with rude and disrespectful grocery checkout employees. I don't expect much from customer service these days, but I do expect to be treated as though I am there. Too often checkers will be checking me out and start talking to other employees about personal issues or not even acknowledge me as they just start scanning my food items. (Probably becaus
