Think about it...if we needed big brains in order to learn to make tools, wouldn't that mean that big brains, by default, predate widespread meat consumption? More on why our ancestors were vegan/vegetarian here:

Sorry you are experiencing this. If it makes you feel better, you probably didn't recently develop the B12 deficiency; likely you were already deficient. It takes a LONG time for a B12 deficiency to show itself, and not just vegans but the entire population is pretty likely to be B12 deficient:

Acrylamides are in more than just chips...in TONS of cooked stuff, like this:

The operative phrase here is "too far". If there's no problem, it's not "too far".

I like the article for its comic value, but there are, within the community of raw fooders actually following the diet, several legit variations, like these:

I'm pretty sure raw sugar isn't raw--they have to cook it at least to 170F to get it to crystallize, if I'm not mistaken. I like using medjool dates or raw honey.

Agreed on the "either juice or eat" sentiment--so long as you're eating regular meals, your body is expecting food, not just juice, so right off the bat, we're dealing with unme expectations! Then yes, more sleep--especially when you're detoxing heavily, you'll need more sleep....at first. After long juice fasts, many people feel like they don't need as much

Seeing as I can wear through a cheap to mid-range juicer personally in just months, ice cream is unfortunately a great way to break all but the highest quality juicers. You can get cheap ice cream makers online; save you the cost of a juicer down the road!

My cut-off is generally very young sprouts, maybe a day or so past when you first see the "tails", but that's just me. I like them this way because they're still sweet, and there's also less chance any mold got to them.

Only one myself. But, it's all good--sometimes it means I'm not 100%, but my sanity is worth way more than the "label" of 100% raw. Lots of stress saved!

If that happened to me, I'd be doing a juice fast for sure.

Certain nutrients will become easier to bsorb when cooking, true--but what they fail to mention is that other nutrients decrease in content when cooking, regardless of how easy they are to absorb!

This thread could get long! Salads all day, tomato crackers, a few mangos, a few nuts, and done!

You might want to look into an organically sourced seaweed, or if you're just lookin for the nutrients, there are plenty of suppliers for chlorella and spirulina out there which offer organic.

I've had better luck with lots of pure water, zinc, and hydrogen peroxide to wash out the ears.

The best way to do raw is to transition slowly...never make yourself feel like you are denying yourself! Find raw dishes you LOVE, not just ones you can tolerate. Definitely get yourself a great raw food recipe book such as this one:

The best way to go raw is to find one recipe you love at a time and start replacing various parts of your diet. I have a ton of recipes written down from the internet that have piqued my interest over time...and out of all of that, there really are only a few recipes that really get made day in, day out. One is dehydrated banana blueberry pancakes--great for calories, by the way, if you are

It's a catch-22...we've destroyed enough of the ozone layer that harmful rays as well as helpful ones get through from the sun...yet sunblock seems to always have questionable ingredients.
