Here is some scientific information on the kidney: "Your two kidneys are located in both sides of your posterior abdomen below the rib cage. These sophisticated processing machines filter 200 quarts of your blood daily and remove on average 2 quarts of waste products and extra water. The rate of filtration is reported as a glomerular filtration rate (GFR), which is calculated from the blo

"The whole acid-alkaline thing is a myth and has no influence on blood pH. Blood pH is regulated by our lungs and kidneys and is always slightly alkaline unless respiration or the kidney's aren't functioning properly. Someone who eats a meal of all animal products versus a meal of all fruit will have the same blood pH afterwards. Food pH doesn't influence blood pH." ---- You forgo

Avocados are a much better choice for fats than lots of nuts as avocados are very alkalizing and most nuts become acidic upon digestion. As far as oil... Whole foods as nature intended seem to be best.

Here's some more: Original quote: "you CAN'T listen to these people that are talking about 'eat a bunch of sugar'. "All these high-sugar people - look how crazy they are. Look how negative they are" 1.) Calling someone crazy is a personal insult. It is also negative. 2.) lifestyle and habits are being criticized directly in the wording of "all these high sugar people" jtprindl said: "You can disapprove of someone's negative actions without criticizing them as a person or

Of course fresh picked fruit is the best. Fresh picked anything is the best. Then again, most people aren't picking their produce themselves. You call it ego. I call it common courtesy. No need to say rude things in the first place. Also, I am not personally offended. But there is no nice intent when calling someone crazy. I am merely pointing out contradictions and generalized st

But without criticism, where would science be? Individual thought and new ideas? Constructive and positive criticism is important. Some of the most brilliant people in history came to be because they questioned. Fruit rid me of many medical problems and brought me joy. This included store bought fruits. It has healed what medicine could not for me. "If you are getting angry and c

I can agree with the last part, in which more greens are beneficial because of poor fruit quality. And no doubt, people do well with different levels of fat. But, then there's science. Proportions of fat should be within reason and often not. Oils are definitely not health foods. When I eat a lot of fat, I can literally feel the difference, even in heartbeat and pulse rate. I can feel the di

I think the main problem is, as T Colin Campbell has stated, there has not been research done on the raw diet. HOWEVER, even he acknowledges that theoretically eating raw or mostly raw would be the best for health. It is hard to conduct an actual in depth study as there are many versions of the raw diet and it is a very small percentage of the population that stick to it for any significant amoun

I'm "high sugar" and I'm not crazy. In fact, I'm very down to earth and logical. I look to science. I research. I do my homework. I don't follow anything with blind faith. The most important thing is to listen to your body and intuition, HOWEVER, many people would argue that their intuition is to eat a steak every day and drink milk from a cow. Physiologically, we are class

Not sure if anyone may have an answer to this. During my monthly cycle, having sweeter fruits like banana or a smoothie directly causes very painful cramps, even if I include greens in the smoothie. Having a salad with dark leafy greens prevents the cramps and non sweet fruit like tomato or avacado cause no pain. Complex carbs like corn or sweet potato also cause no pain. After

Personally, I have helped many people heal and get well. That is what I choose to do with my knowledge. Spread kindness, compassion for animals and the environment, and awareness of ones self and the effects of the foods they eat. I believe our job is to raise awareness and spread a message to support the things that better ourselves and the environment. Many people these days are sick,

I can believe it. Mono diets have been noted to be more effective at healing than water fasting for many individuals. Anne Osborne talks about this and uses mono diets as cleanses. In one of her videos, she talks about a women who cured her cancer from only eating grapes. What a tasty way to heal! I've healed many things from mono meals of all clementines.

I forgot to mention that I did increase my water intake. I started drinking LOTS of lemon water. It's maybe been slightly beneficial for digestion but not that much that I've noticed as of yet, but it has helped somewhat with my other health problems.

So I've been doing a lot of research in to how the ph of foods effects overall health and cannot find a chart with foods that agrees with another. It seems that many of the Alkaline and Acidic food lists online disagree with each other. ***Does anyone happen to have a reliable list of these foods? ***I'm assuming cooked fruits/veg are acidic but is frozen acidic? Lots of interesting different points of view. If I was to eat things whole, I feel I would replace a decent amount of my greens intake with fruit. Would this be bad for health? Humans are classified Frugivores. The Hunza people who are well known for their longevity eat lots of fruit, probably more than any other group of people. But it is interesting that several of the top vegan do

But wouldn't swishing it around promote cavities? I've heard of some people getting many cavities while others seem to have no problem at all. I personally enjoy green smoothies as a way of getting in more greens. I have had issues with raw slowing down my digestion. It has become very sluggish. Tips would be appreciated!

I've always felt amazing after a smoothie. Normally very wide awake and full of energy. However, I stumbled upon some information from Dr. Esselstyn. He addresses smoothies on this page as well as on a YouTube video: I was looking for some thoughts or opinions on this? Maybe someone has more information. I was watching a YouTube video from Bananiac in which he mentioned that fruit phyton
