@ Suvine: I know you wanted Prana's assurance that everything will be okay, but I thought I'd stick my nose in. Based on the breakdown in society (ours) and the world in general that I myself have seen over the past 55+ years - and not on any web bot reports (they prove nothing) - I suspect that things will indeed be pretty bad. Batten down the hatches, suvine. There's little we can do ex

Falls Village, Conn. — A Great Barrington man was killed in a two-car accident on Wednesday (September 9) evening when his car and a pickup truck collided on U.S. Route 7, according to Connecticut State Police in Canaan. Steve Meyerowitz, 65, was pronounced dead at Sharon Hospital after his Volkswagen Beetle and a Nissan Titan collided near the double yellow line. Police say Meyerowitz w

Thanks to all of you for your very good responses to my posts. I would say it comes down to he said/she said. The article writers at NY Times have as much capacity to just copy what someone else said, as less known persons would. How do we get to the bottom of this? 2 things I would like to add: No one lives on rice alone for extended period (except for macrobiotic-type fast, which is on

I went to a Christmas party about a decade ago when one of my friends was going to an Acupuncture College and the #2 man from China in Health was there and I asked him why they were eating white rice instead of brown rice and he said that white rice is a sign of prosperity because long ago only royalty could afford to eat white rice, but now, everyone could afford to eat white rice. Of course

Thanks, suncloud! If she were correct, beriberi could not be cured by switching from white rice to brown. It was discovered that the brown rice cured beriberi because it had partly fermented prior to refrigeration and modern storage practices; when rice (and certain other grains that were studied in this way) are fermented, their thiamine content is rather considerably increased. Also, the

When traditional peoples did something for a long time, it was because they saw benefits. They may not have had science in the sense we do now, but somehow they figured out that processing certain foods in certain ways resulted in good health for them. I trust tradition in these matters; the Japanese were nobody's fools. How could a society eating so much refined rice produce all those warriors

"Give up...white rice and any other polished grain..." was given as part of advice while making a transition. However, if you want to have a bit of cooked food forever, then I'd advise against that. 100% whole grains are harder to digest (and require much chewing, which not everyone is inclined to do). For people not overloaded with money, cooking brown rice for 45 minutes on an

There's a Third Position (which I hold): I don't give a hoot if abortion is 100% legal or if it is 100% illegal. It doesn't change the basic character of the population as a whole, which is in a state of advanced degeneration. We are past the point of no return. Whether abortion is legal or illegal has ceased to be relevant.

Yes, it's true what you say. "Meat" in particular has to be drastically changed in order to be edible. No one can eat plain flesh.

Nothing wrong with Matt Monarch wanting to eat cooked food or a whole dam goat roasted on a spit. God gives us freedom in these matters. We are omnivores. I do not see it as "gossip" that some of us are pointing out that Matt has made a major change in his own life, his preachings, and what he sells - all without a major statement refuting and explaining his previous lifestyle.

"... Psychopaths realize at an early age that they are different and that they should Act as everyone else does in order to be accepted into Society. They learn to mimic what they see others do, but they can never understand why they should Act this way." I know someone who I think is a psychopath. The above paragraph sums it all up. Tks for this. This is helpful. PS. Back to th

JT, I have done various versions of flushes. First few flushes that I did were following Andreas Moritz' instructions. Among other things, I produced tons of strange looking red objects which were n not food residue. Other times I did Dr. Sutter's socalled "Coke" flush where you use phosphoric acid mixed with apple juice for the 3-day preparation. I never felt sick on this ver

The majority of gallstones are indeed made of cholesterol. Some become partially calcified. A few gallstones are pigment mostly. It is unfortunate that the word gallSTONES is used to identify the "things" that accumulate in the gallbladder. No need for me to "heat" what came out of my rear end after my flush. You are laboring under the delusion that gallstones are

Liver flushes are not a hoax at all, SueZ. I did over a dozen. The first few flushes, there was just these little green balls which it's not for me to say what they were. Maybe there were what they are accused of being, namely, lumps of congealed olive oil. But after many flushes, I discharged a bunch of somewhat firm, angular things (angular from having been packed together, obviously)

Did y'all watch the whole video? I did. He is couching it as "you don't have to eat all raw, just don't eat processed foods" (esp. sugar and refined starches). A kind of escape clause, which he doesn't have to do, because we were built to eat whatever we wish, no point in forcing ourselves to eat in a way that doesn't satisfy us. But we should own up to the fact that we are m

The late Norman Walker wrote in his book "Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices" that oxalic acid is not merely harmless, but actually beneficial, when the foods containing it are RAW. One sentence: "When the oxalic acid has become inorganic by cooking or processing the foods that contain it, then this acid forms an interlocking compound with the calcium even combining with the calciu

About rawfooders (careless variety) and fruitarians being cranky and bad tempered - that is standard-issue low blood sugar. Not everything is curable by diet. If you enjoy your diet, yet have issues, nothing wrong with getting a diagnosis and then trying some natural healing of whatever method speaks to you. As we get older, we really find out that we need more than this or that healthy di

"Any diet which relies on supplements to be nutritionally complete isn't a healthy diet in my opinion." So many people nowadays (possibly from harsh, purely symptomatic doctoring or a dozen other factors) have digestive or liver issues that make it impossible to assimilate all the nutrients in their food. So until these issues are cleared up, maybe through digestive enzymes, hydroch

There was some mention of bipolar aka manic depression here even though that's not the main topic, also that lithium, the standard-issue treatment, is not very good for one's overall health. There is a well publicized vitamin program called Truehope/Empowerplus that was developed for mental illness in general, but specifically for bipolar. There's plenty of testimonials available on Youtube.

From my understanding, there's a difference between controlling low blood sugar and actually curing yourself of it. Why don't you ask your acu doctor what your particular "pattern of disharmony" is? Then you can look that up and see what dietary recommendations are given. There is much on this to be found on the Web. It seems that most practitioners of traditional Chinese medicin

I agree with KidRaw about socalled oral sex, but not because I'm scared of germs. But because it's disgusting. Whatever happened to plain old scre*ing? I think that a desire to do these kinds of things stems from physical and mental insensitivity. Healthy, normal people don't want or need to suck on genitals or lift their shirts (if you get my drift).

If you are asking me, I don't know the answer. I read a fair bit on the topic of mercury detox and it's just my opinion but I don't think it HAS to be as complicated as some health practitioners make it to be. It's going to be slow, I think, and shouldn't be thought of as something you "do" once or twice and it's all gone (mercury other than in the fillings). I say go about eating a goo
