Regarding eggs: I raise my own. When I order baby chicks, I get heirloom varieties, which means they are not sexed. That means that you do not know if they are males or females. Sometimes I have more males than females (ie, egglayers) and it causes problems. Still, I don't kill them nor do I give them to anyone who will.

I take B12 supplement sporadically. Also, I am middleaged and most of us are not as capable of a near monodiet that I sometimes see recommended, ie, lots of fruit, or 100% raw.

I hope that you prana will be healthy forever. In my own case I can't do all that fruit. I even need some raw eggs sometimes, but I know we aren't even supposed to say that on this forum, because it is a vegan forum. Also, where I live, it is cold for 5 months of the year. I dare anyone to do lots of raw fruit during our kind of winter, and feel good. I think it would have a positive effect

If you want to keep the fiber, but enjoy the juicy-ness of juice, you could put your carrots or apples into an electric grinder, which is what I do. It is a slow-moving auger-type juicer/grinder (a 6-in-1 type)* which doesn't change the nutrients thru the high-speed brutalization of foods as done in the Vita Mix. What is the point of eating raw if we are going to kill our nutrients in any hi

I am not going to tell people who go heavy on raw fruit that they are not healthy if they think that they are. If you say you are healthy, I will take you at your word. But I don't think any of us were designed to eat high-fruit for an extended period of time no-matter-what. Raw-fruiters doing well? Great. Report back in 10 or so years and let's see how it's going. As to drinking all th

I live on the Prairies, too, and though I have tried two times, I can't do 100% raw in winter. Even in summer, I like a bit of cooked food. But you may be different. Best of luck. Even as a child, I was not awfully strong. I am better now (no major issues) but still not tough enough to tolerate lots of raw in winter. I have outdoor chores to do, etc. Doesn't matter if it goes to 25 belo

I know of a girl who tried to commit suicide, she was a fkg mess. Someone dragged her for one almighty acupuncture treatment and afterwards she simply could not grasp why on earth she had been feeling so bad. That, + a bit of counselling, and off she went. I am not making this up. Go get poked!

The carrot juice - it seems to me - would be a big sugar hit to the liver only if consumed alone. If consumed at the same meal as protein + high fiber whole food, I should think that these bad effects would be negated.

Orthorexia is a condition where your strong attachment to your healthful way of eating at some point stops serving you and starts making you sick - but you still keep eating that way because you can't let go of it.

Never tried it, never even heard of it till you mentioned it. Basically, it's seriously de-natured garlic. So, if all that pungency is gone and it turns sweet, I guess that would mean that it is now healthy + harmless to those who think it's a satanic food in its natural, raw form.

Paul Pitchford, in his tome (and a good one it is) on natural healing & asian traditions, states vociferously how "bad" garlic is for you according to trad. asian beliefs, at least as far as "spiritual" development goes. Supposedly makes you "angry", aggressive, etc. How silly that is! However, elsewhere in that book he describes the countless benefits of

A favourite topic of mine, banana. The yoga people are just mindlessly copying the beliefs of certain eastern peoples who had the idea that these foods were bad for you, at least on some socalled spiritual level. This is typical of people getting away from their own culture and adopting another one. They don't know what they are talking about, in my judgment. I read that onions & garlic &q

Well, maybe buckwheat was never in their (Asians') diet and your recessive (Asian) gene has taken over when God was giving out blood types. As you can see, I am not entirely certain how this all works. In any case, maybe these dietary recommendations hinge on just how much of a certain food a person eats. Maybe a little bit doesn't matter. If a person doesn't have an outright allergy, I s

Coco, that is a very nice poem about children learning what they live. We should definitely try avoid the first 7 behaviours just because they are wrong, and carry out the rest of the behaviours on the list because they are inherently right. However, there's no guarantees, as you know. And if our children have some awful behaviours, we might be made to feel guilty if we take the above poem t

The children are toxic. TOXIC. You can point fingers at the parents all you like for how they try to cope, but that won't change toxicity. It is like trying to talk a schizophrenic or bipolar type out of their behaviour. Biology is the mother of psychology. Fix up the children's bodies and it will became much easier for the parents to cope with parenthood. If I had a child who was act
