All I ate today was 2 apples and 2hrs later had a 16oz glass of carrot+spinach juice and now I'm feeling gassy.. I eat apples all the time but not the juice. Any idea why that could cause it?

Good question. I just had to throw away beets and spinach that I bought on sale a couple days ago because they were all soggy and just gross. I put them in the bottom "crisper" drawer of the fridge. Left the spinach in a bag and just put the beets in the other draw with no bag. I don't even know if they're edible like that and I didn't know what to do with them either. lol.

Which fertilizer would you recommend? And where would you get it.. Is there any "average" nutrient charts for like 1oz of juice?

I ended up finding this book on Ebay pretty cheap and got it. Seems kind of ..vague. I don't know. I find it odd that for every ailment it basically recommends the 2 specific juice formulas 10oz of Carrot + 6oz of Spinach 10oz Carrot + 3oz Cucumber + 3oz Beet.

They seem to think it's all about false labeling.. Thank you for contacting Whole Foods Market with your concerns. On February 27, the FDA published a notice in the Federal Register announcing the release of draft guidance titled "Complementary and Alternative Medicine Products and Their Regulation by the Food and Drug Administration." We would like to take this opportuni

like the specific amounts in a specific serving size? I searched Google but only came up with vague-ness and sites trying to sell their products. Also, best to use Hard Winter Red Berries right?

Where do you get a blueberry plant? I want one. We used to have a blueberry tree outside but its not even worth it because the damn birds always got to them first.

It's easier and faster than it sounds. The first time I grew it was accidentally. I only meant to sprout the seeds but left them in the sprouter too long and they were turning into grass. Then I stuck some of them in a pot of soil and covered them and watered it and by the next morning they already shot up through the top of the soil. 1. Put seeds in sprouter/container. 2. Add about 3x the wa

Do it! The master cleanse is a great first fast. It's simple and easy for the average SAD person who wants to fast without spending all that time messing with a juicer. If it wasn't for the MC I probably would've never gotten to raw. It clears all that crap out of your system and you don't even want it anymore. I'd recommend going longer if by day 10 she likes it. The longer you go, the be

I only like them thrown in smoothies. It compliments the other fruit in it without that weird, medicinal aftertaste. I usually don't even bother to soak them first. I ended up giving my first bag to my gerbls after I read the back about them being from Mongolia..which is where they're from. Watching them eat them and like it makes me think it's more rodent food anyway. lol.

I haven't stayed raw long or messed around long enough to really know but I am noticing that fruit has actually filled me up at times unlike fat (nuts and sees) that I can keep binging on.

Anyone ever combine Carrots, Beets and Spinach for juice? If so, how much did you use of each for it to taste good? This is all I have left in my fridge and I don't want to go buy more veggies. lol

One of the arguments against milk has always been that humans are the only mammal to continue drinking it after infantacy and to make it worse, it's from a cow. With your logic, you might as well say it's also "natural" for humans to continue drinking milk since they did when they were babies.

It was another reminder for me to mail those damn warranty cards back. I never send them back on anything just because I never go to a postoffice. You'd think they'd let you do that stuff online by now. I went to the website where I bought it from..vitality plus..and I could buy the handle/top part for $30+ shipping. I'll wait and see if it irritates me enough to fork over the cash for it. lol

I've been posting all this info on health forums and it's amazing how many people aren't interested and make fun of it anyway calling it "hippy" stuff. One of the forums people were happy about it and saying there's no reason it shouldnt be regulated as regular medicine, etc. etc. Can't argue against science, etc. Of course these are also typical ignorant SAD americans who didn't even t

I don't buy raw juices anyway, not an issue where I live. But I'd imagine this would be a huge problem in Cali with all the raw food places. Anyone here from Cali would have a better chance at getting the word out to people who would care and jump right on this crap to help stop it. Go print this crap and hand it out at raw restaruants or something.

Yeah, this is true. This is the official www.FDA.gov link where it comes from - This is the exact words about juices in short for people who might not want to read everything above: CAM stands for Complimentary Alternative Medicine. "Second, neither the Act nor the PHs Act exempts CAM products from regulation. This means, for example, if a person decides to produce and sell raw

As I just posted in another thread..I passed Mucoid Plaque on my first fast on day 30. I was still on SAD when I heard about colon cleansing, cleansing, fasting, etc (Not raw yet). Way too much information everywhere so I took the easy way out and did The Master Cleanse Fast. For those not familiar with it, it's nothing but a lemonade of lemons, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. lol weird. Potatoes was one of the few veggies I could easily eat raw. I used to eat them raw when I was a kid too and my grandmother would yell at me and tell me I'd get sick from it.. as she fried them and mashed them with pounds of butter and milk. Go figure. At least find a healthier way of cooking them.. try boiling or baking and get away from that fried crap.

It's getting really dry and the hair that ends up in my hand or in the brush is really, really dry and dead-er(lol for lack of better description) - I haven't really changed any way I wash it..which is maybe twice a week and I use Castile soap and Avalon Organics conditioner (Not the best, but best I can find) - My die

You can start right away with raw. I started when my dog was 8 months only because that's how old he was when I learned about it. My other dogs were already adults when I got them and they too started instantly. You don't need to follow any "Recipies". You don't have to supplement with anything, since the dog should be getting all his nutrients from whole foods. I spend the extra m
