Sounds like your 5200 definitely had a manufacturing mishap with the handle grip. I would return that, no doubt. I have had the waring MX1000XT for around 1.5 yr., I guess. I use it hard & have no complaints...well...except that I wish I could get a 96 oz. container for it... Anyway, as you stated, plenty of power. Mine has Lo/High/Pulse & I am happy with that. I am not sure a med

I've been meaning to make a homemade deodorant, but it is one of those things I just haven't got around to yet...I found a recipe in a magazine awhile back using simple ingredients including coconut oil. I need to get busy making some...

Yeah...I agree with the others...open it & use it...unless you are really looking for a specific feature. At this point I kinda feel that "a high speed blender is a high speed blender is a high speed blender..." Too many minor differences to make one model stand out over another. Except for what pborst stated in the other blending thread...comparing Blendtec to V-mix, as in ma

Sounds like things are looking up! Good thing you live in an area were you can walk/bike around town, plus enjoy nice CA weather! That would never work out for me here in the frigid Mid-Atlantic state of PA!

I have thought about it a bit... while it is a novel invention, and does yield more juice from the pulp, I just couldn't see myself using it that much. Too much extra work to fit into my already busy day. On the other hand, it would work well for quick citrus juices, just smash 1/2 an Orange & there you have it! I won't mention a shameless plug for the Norwalk, lol...

"Yes, the Agriculture Department said Thursday, it did have a hand in the recent mass killing of starlings in South Dakota. According to the USDA, the birds were poisoned in Nebraska to help farmers who had complained about starling flocks defecating into livestock feed troughs. The birds dropped dead en masse after migrating north." Un-freaking-believable... Although, not really.

Agree with cyclopsicle wholeheartedly! 90% is a remarkable raw number, considering most folks don't attain near that level. I am not sure if your addict assessment if 100$ correct, though; I would say that in a former life, I was "addicted" to BBQ, Chili, especially pizza, to name a few. After being vegan for around 12 yrs. now, & raw for 2 or 3...I forget, time passes... A

We could easily do this now, actually throughout most of the winter months, as it does stay quite cold here. Some stuff would actually freeze though, tonight they are calling for 9 degrees. Would be a minor inconvenience for the rest of the family, but I would do it if they would follow suit. It would shave a nice portion off the elect. bill for the winter.

That is a crazy story...he was drunk...but I mean, do you lose all reasoning ability when you are drunk? I don't know, as I have never been. Funny how "rhetoric" is the new evil...

It is interesting... Aajonus Vonderplanitz (I think that is the guy, as I have heard so many "health" gurus on the radio, etc.) talks about using fecal matter & the beneficial health properties of it. Urine also gets a nod from some in the alternative field. I say "No thank you", I will stick to green smoothies & the like.

It probably doesn't do much good, but I don't think we should stop screaming at them. If a third party would ever take hold in this country, the others would then sit up & take notice, 'cause that would rock their comfy ride. Money talks, & (blank) walks....we all know the line...
