121. Re: Newby
Hi Belle Sounds like you have been through a lot. I have seen great results just by making a large smoothie in the morning and drinking half then and another half in the afternoon. These green smoothies dont have to be complicated. Get whatever fruits are in season, bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, strawberries, etc...get what is on sale that week and your green of choice...mine is baby spin

Very good and objective advice! Thank you all. In all of my recent research I am on info overload and i do see the trend for some to advocate strongly for the use of "superfoods" to further their own personal financial gain, so I have found myself being very cautious and not running out and getting all of the trendy superfoods. I really love the advice to spend my family's hard earned

My 10 Yr. Old daughter has been sharing green smoothies with me each morning. She helps me and writes down each recipe and rates it with stars each day. She insists that I make it green. This morning she had cereal as I was getting ready for an early appt. After school she said "tomorrow we are getting back to our smoothies"! So proud of her!

Thank you...good to keep in mind. As for the nut/seed issue, I am having a hard time sorting that out. For now I really wish to keep things simple...green smoothies, cut up fruit and veggies, massaged kale or other greens, and a few nuts now and then. What is your opinion of wheatgrass and other super foods?

That is so cool! I'm new too and also was a health nut but I DID eat fruits, veggies, grains, tofu, no meat or dairy....and my constant severe fatigue was only getting worse. After 3 weeks of 80% it is as if I can now hear my body speaking to me. I have not napped in a week and I am not depressed. It's almost scary! Best wishes to you

Thanks for all of that advice! It may not be a good idea since I have only been off sugar for 3 weeks. I am also still addicted to caffeine...in a very large way! I'm just really intrigued by cacao and thought I would try it once. As for nuts...I love them dearly but I want to lose a few pounds and my energy is better without them so I've been avoiding them for the most part.

The topical treatments are important but you have to get the nits out by combing and picking out by hand.

Hi all...This seems like a very nice community. I have tried others and they don't seem to be maintained. I have a long history of alternative health seeking...from macrobiotics to herbal and magnetic therapy, to here, over a 25 year span. I became a vegeterian a year ago and have consumed almost no dairy. Three weeks ago I stopped eating sugar and started eating a mostly raw diet. I also we

I am not new to healthful eating, I have been on and off macro diet for years and have always eaten well. I only eat a little fish once in awhile, but try not to eat animal products in general. I am definitely new to raw foodism and VERY exited! I've been interested in this for years and for some reason, now is the time. At this point my biggest concern is cost. I plan on eating 75% fruits an
