Try sprouted mug beans, lentils & sugar peas.
Food for Life has sprouted bread & corn tortillias. They're baked at low temps., 250 degrees for a longer time. Not raw, but a much better choice for cooked food.

This is what I had today. When I said I would join in on the fun, I forgot to think that I'm not vegan. I don't want to offend anyone, so this is my last journal, but this is what my 7 weeks will look like, pretty much. I do take a few whole food vitamin supplements, so I'm about 98% raw for next 7 weeks. Have fun everyone!

I never cook my veggies or fruit. I only cook things that MUST be cooked, that I enjoy eating, such as organic brown rice. Kwan, lentil sprouts are good, too. They are filling and make good chili with ground walnuts, green & red bells, cilantro, onion, and a sundried tomato sauce. Garnish with avocado and yummm!

I had to say immunizations were against my religon to get my kids exempt from immunizations. I had to get a form at the health department, that was a religous exemption from immunizations, then I had to have it notorized.

and unless the parents were living under a rock, how could they not have heard of the other recent babies who died of vegan and raw vegan diets and would have been careful to not give their child the same fate. How could they not know that the babie was suffering and starving to death?

OMG!!! I was skinny when when both of my children were born. My son weighted almost 9 lbs when he was born, and my daughter weighed almost 8 lbs when she was born. I was a vegetarian, not a vegan, through out my pregnancy.

The reason for them blanching the veggies is not important if you want to eat raw veggies only. If you want something cooked for a very short time, then eat them.
Frozen organic blueberries are 2$ out of season at some stores. That's very affordable.

I heard Brian Clement speak last night. He looks very healthy and has nice skin and hair. He's a good speaker and very intense and passionate about raw foods. He seems like a nice family man, too. We are both greens aficianados so I was open to learning from him. He just has a good spirit about him.

Cascadain Farms say they blanch ALL their frozen veggies, but the fruits are frozen raw. I called 2x and spoke to 2 different people and got the same answers written on their customer service scripts.
Ditto for Woodstock Farms. Frozen corn is not raw. I see raw folks post recipes often using cooked frozen corn and think it is raw.
