If you¡re eating fat in single digits, it is almost impossible to get too much sugar. The sugar flows in and out of the body efficiently when you're not having fat blocking it.

That's not my experience. There is a natural hybridization of fruits in nature and when humans pick the seeds from the best tasting bananas we're doing what nature does. Hybridization may highten the sugar content and lower the nutrients. What we do then is to eat less fruit to get our calories and more tender and leafy greens for the nutrients. My experience is that the organic bananas I buy las

What do you think will happen with raw foods and the movement in the future? I have a fear sometimes that the trend will be GM foods, more "enhanced" fruits and vegetables will come and less organic produce will be available. The worldwide population increases all the time, even exponentially. Will there be less room for farming on the planet? Will the prices on organic produce radic

I'm with Bryan. It's very possible to get 5 mg of Zinc just by eating fruit and vegetables. People say they have eaten that way for a very long time without any problems. It's very possible also to get 300-400 mg of Calcium. Here's a good one: With the logic and intuition I have, I think fruits and vegetables are the very best food for me. Fruit can last up to about two weeks when picked f

As you may know, sugar is converted to alcohol as a fruit ripens. So that is one thing that vanishes. As far as I know, vitamins are at their peak when the freshness/ripeness is at peak. It's a funny thing; Fruits seem to age like humans. In the beginning they're firm and delicious and beautiful and in the end they get all sloppy and smelly.

Can you see how crazy people are in the world? When people are at war (in their minds or physically) against theirselves or the world they don't feel well. Stress and depression is the result. And if they're stressed and depressed, they've got that to focus on and that could take a lot of energy that could be spent on changing eating habits. Further on, if people don't have a way out of it, t

The reason I'm asking is because I found an article on Wikipedia saying that the water "should" be drunk from young coconuts.

There is a thing as "too skinny"? Is it true? Have you stopped to think about the fact that you can never be too skinny to be you. You have the perfect body for you to be you in this moment. QuoteI'm afraid I'll lose evem more weight and be that little skinny self that I was back in high school. When you write like that dear, it appears that it's not really a health problem on a

I don't think nature would set up a reality were you have to wait millions of years to first know the scientifically claimed benefits of fasting and then thinking it through carefully to gain the highest level of health. Just enjoy your fruits and veggies.

"I'm eating more fruit than I ever have before and am really enjoying it. Yesterday I bought red bananas from Equador and can't wait to try them this morning for breakfast." I became happy when I read that :=)

So I've got my copy of this wonderful book and pretty much read it over a day. There are some things I think I haven't got answered that would convince me start doing this thing soon; 1. When I eat a monomeal of five bananas, I don't feel full and have the feeling that I haven't eaten enough an hour later. Why? 3. How do I calculate the GI for let's say ten medium bananas? 4. How can sim

Gabriel Cousens recommends 2-3 ounces of sea vegetables a week. Worth noting is that the iodine content can be up to ten times greater or less than average.

Thank you for sharing your experience sgc. Your life seems like a dream. And it messes up things I've learned about nutrition and "human requirements" concerning vitamins and minerals. E.g. how much Sodium, iodine and zinc can you get from fruits? Not that much when you compare to the so called R.D.I. And how can someone last on so little food and so much excercise? Some questions po

I heard that walking and running are very good cardiovascular exercises. I would take it easy on the running though if I had a weak heart, but I'm no Doctor. I have a daily schedule that I try to stick to. It includes situps, pushups, chinups, reversed chinups for triceps, standing on my hands, and some back exercises and stretching - all with free weights (just my body) except one back exerc

If you think about it, everyone is a vegan sometimes. Who hasn't eaten a sallad for a meal sometime in their life? Maybe we just do it more often. So we're not separated except if vegan is more a state of mind. If that's the case we've separated us from "them" just with our own thinking. I don't know if I'm going to be vegan forever. I just know that today, at this time, I prefer eating
