Hey noff !! I love dates, too - soooo sweet and sooo good Keep practicing the Reiki - self treat every day . Sometimes it takes a while before you really feel it. That's why it's good to go to some Reiki shares - so you can get some feedback. Sometimes you won't feel anything - but the recipient will feel alot !! Talk to your doc - s/he may want to start you on some B12 shots - just depends on how severe it is - s/he may or may not recommend supplementation - depends on whether or not you do the shots. Definitely talk to the doc to find the best route to go.

Adrenal fatigue isn't caused by the raw diet - it is caused by stress. When you are under constant stress your adrenal glands continually secrete the fight/flight hormones - your body wasn't designed to have these hormones secreted continually. Reducing stress and doing all the other things I listed above can help rebalance the cortisol/DHEA in your system so that your adrenals can rest, recover

A good book to look into for this is Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom, by Dr. Christiane Northrup - you can probably find it at your library - there is a section on pages 529 - 531 for restoring adrenal function. Basically it says - reduce stress - when you find yourself thinking stressful thoughts - stop and focus on something that allows you to feel unconditional love or appreciation - hold th

Watermelon is also high in iron. Getting iron is not too much of a problem. There are different kinds of anemia though - the one raw foodies need to keep in mind is B12 deficiency anemia - the body stores about a 5-6 year supply of B12, but after that you may need to supplement.

I just started raw a little over a month ago - I lost about 6 pounds the first 2 weeks eating mostly veggies, nuts, seeds, and small amounts of fruit. I really didn't know what my nutrient values were until I plugged it in to nutridiary one day to see what it was - turns out it was about 45% fat from all the nuts and seeds and avocados, 45% carbs and 10% protein. Since I wanted to get back
